Clomid and HCG...

I have found it hard to come across clomid and HCG...Not that knowledgable on HCG but heard from ppl that its almost the same thing...Can someone plz explain the differences...Also, if clomid is a fertility drug is it possible to get it at a planned pregancy clinic??If it is I had an idea to go in and say that I am trying to have a baby w/ my girlfriend...This may sound dumb but u guyz think it will work?? :0  <.

HCG is Human Chronic Gonadotropin.  It is used for hypogonadal men. Clomid is a fertility drug, used to assist women that are having trouble getting pregnent.  So, no they are not the same thing.  Unless you are on some elaborate, extended cyle, you do not need HCG.  Clomid is a must after every cycle.  Later
