It always seems there is a score that needs to be settled when a fight gets stopped early.Because if gone the distance it could always go either way.Rahman looked strong. He stuffed a few good right hands and looked worthy to be in there.Holyfield! You just can't say enough about him.The REALDEAL is a champion through and through. He looked better than previous fights in the last couple of years.Very active and was getting the best of Rahman.I was glad to see that because it was a must if he plans to contend for the championship again. What about that bump on Rahman's head!?From certain angles it like a freagin' softball was implanted on his forehead.I watched all the replays and they barely grazed eachother on the headbutt. Was not Holyfields fault at all.Another good fight for my collection.Think Holyfield uses gear?Lewis vs. Tyson next Saturday.

I agree, entertaining fight all in all. One of the better heavyweight fights I've seen in recent years. Up 'til the 8th round Holyfield was the clear winner though if Rahman was able to continue, you couldn't have counted him out. The two judges from NJ scored it 69-64 I believe, but the judge from NY (a woman) scored it like 67-66 in favor of Rahman...what fight was she watching? Regardless, it was a win for Holyfield by split-technical decision.
Oh, and that baseball in Rahman's forehead was one of the most horrific bruises I've ever seen! I couldn't believe they allowed it to go on as long as it did, being that Holyfield kept pounding on it.
Despite a solid performance from the Real Deal, I have to say that I hope someone encourages him to retire soon as every time I hear him speak in an interview, more and more he seems to be going the way of Ali...

OH MY GOD! I have never seen anything like that "growth" on Rahman's head. If it would have popped he would have died instantly from loss of blood. Agree with all of the above, Holyfield was ahead but Rahman still looked strong. Too bad it had to end like that.
