Anyone ever used this to increase appetite? I've tried everything. The only negative I have heard is that it makes you feel stoned for about the first 7 days. Any one know?

OK,and so what's the negative??

Well, dumb jokes aside,it does seem to work but is more effective in the elderly. It will give you a buzz similar to Benedryl as their mechanisms of action are very similar(both anti-Histamine) but tolerance to that effect developes in a few days. It will give you a dry mouth.
Usual dosages are 4mg tabs 3x a day initally with a dose max of 0.5mg/kg/D

Most users will register a 4.78 on a standardized Imafukenwitya Satiety and Hunger Scale.

Let's just say somewhere between like a dirt weed buzz and walking past a Cinnabon's.

So is it worth it in your opinion?

Definetly worth a try,it's inexpensive so not a big investment. There are very few effective appetite enhancers short of THC and EQ.

Eh, I wasn't too impressed with it.... didn't really increase my hunger much and left me feeling dog-tired. I have a whole bunch that are just sitting there.... :)
But decadent's right, it IS cheap.

If anyone is the expert on this I am. I've been using Periactin since 2001. I started at 135lbs early in the school year and by semester's end, I was 180lbs. I've used it on many ocassions when I've fallen off the wagon and stopped eating/training to get me back on top though I've never fallen below 165 and rarely ever below 170 but I've made some mistakes with it that I've learned from.

You will be shocked how quickly this stuff will bulk you up because it both increases your appetite and slows down your metabolism but with that said, the phrase "you are what you eat" is very important when it comes to this drug. If you don't want to get fat, nutrition is incredibly important, more so than training. Stay off the white rice and other simple carbs/sugars and inhale protein. When on Periactin I mainly eat brown rice and lean chicken or turkey. Before you touch it make a nice trip to the grocery store because unless your Bill Gates, you can't afford to buy all the meals you'll be craving from a restaurant.

Believe it or not, gaining 10lbs in a week on Periactin is not just unusual but I expect it!!! However Periactin needs to be cycled because after about a week the mass gaining effects dissapear but taking about a week off will put you right back where you want to be

As far as the drowsiness is concerned, you'll be able to function normaly in about 2 days but you still need to get 8-10hrs sleep while on it. I would not suggest starting on a workday. If you work monday-friday, then start on Saturday and you'll be fine by Monday, just make sure to get to bed by 10pm.

The the dosage is 3 4mg pills/day, I suggest 1/day. It'll do the job and your body will get used to it more slowly (plus it's cheaper that way).

With your doctor's cooperation insurance will cover it or you can get it from Canada for about $20/100pills.

I like B12 and it does work well but some people need something stronger and periactin is the alternative. I have used it, it works, but I was so damn tired all the time..

With Periactin it allowed me to eat and eat and eat until my jaws got tired of chewing. In other words, I didn't get the sensation of satiety. When you eat and you feel "full", you're not "full", your body is merely signalling you to stop eating. With Periactin, I didn't get that "full" signal and ate enormous amounts of food. However, I haven't used Periactin in 20 years or so. The last time I used it I slept most of the entire day. I'd wake up, go in the living room and sleep on the couch, wake up and go in the bedroom and sleep, etc. It wasn't worth it. Maybe I was taking too much.
