NASCAR RACE THIS LAST WEEKEND!

Just thought I would tell everyone about my first Nascar event. I went to the Tropicana 300 on Saturday and the Tropicana 400 on Sunday in Joliet, Illinois. I got the tickets for free so I couldn't not go!:D Honestly though..I would never pay money to go to one of these events. You are so fukin jam packed into the bleachers with a 100,000 other people. Its ridiculous. $6 a beer $3 for water. Tickets for the Busch Series race on Sat were $40 each and the Winston Cup race on Sunday were $80 each!! Thats crazy.
All in all I had a good time(except for some minor altercations in the parking lot BOTH days after the event). Lets just say that somebodies Jeep Grand Cherokee has a big dent in the hood from my fist and they didn't even get out of there vehicle when I did it! I would have got out and whooped my ass....lol. There were 4 guys in it too!! Pussies....lol

Lot of big beer bellied drunks ...but they were nice for the most part. Only thing your really missing by not seeing it live is the unbelievable speeds that they are going! They were running 179-180mph yesterday and it was amazing. TV doesn't do it justice. Anyway just though I would let everyone know what I thought of NASCAR and my 1st ever event...............456

...i m a big Nascar fan, but my first event was dover downs and had the time of my life...it was 5-6 years ago...that sucks you didnt have a good time but nothing beats the sound...the sound is wicked...

RACING

Big Nascar fan myself. I attend a few races a year. Both Bristol races for sure. That is the race that you want to attend if you can. The night race preferably but you can't hardly get tickets to that event. I have been to both races the past 3-4 years. My first race was Charlotte.

A word of advice to you. Don't ever buy beer at the event. Take it in like most everyone else. The best thing to do is get a few people together and have a tailgate before and after the race. Nothing like firing the grill up early and then attending the race and firing the grill up again. If you have done it you know what I am talking about.

Most of the people that attend the races are nice people but you have those that can get a little out of hand. Best thing to do is just ignore those people. No use to get into trouble because of someone else. Just my thoughts.

Silent..Yeah I know exactly what you mean now that I have been to one. I went both days and there was an IROC race on Saturday too. I haven't been in the best of health so it probably was too much for me anyway...so its was partially my own fault. As for taking beer in....you can't......no coolers, nothing!!! My friend that went with me on Saturday went to a race in Michigan and he said that he could take in his cooler. Not at Chicagoland raceway:mad:
Sully...yeah bro...that sound is bad-ass!! Especially the re-starts or the very beginning of the race. Almost unbearable loud...I was in the 5th row with no earplugs and was hurtin..lol.

I think they started that this year since the 9/11 attacks. There are a few tracks that still let you take it in. I know that Bristol and Martinsville do because I have been there this year. I don't think Daytona did for the first race but they might have changed for the second race.

The ones that have stopped letting you take in coolers are just trying to make more money in my opinion. The coolers are all searched anyway before you go in so if anybody was trying to get in something they shouldn't it would be spotted anyway. Just another money gimmick.

I drive to the Brickard every year. Party for for 4 days before the race. You've never seen so many chicks flashing their titties than you would see there. Anybody else going to Indy in August?

Only thing that really pissed me off was the seating arrangment. It was a fukin aluminum bench with an open back and then an upper back support. AND there was 3 big fat people in my row that were taking up at LEAST 1.5 seats each which put us normal people all squished together....which was bullshit.
As for the coolers...they won't ever let you have them in Chicagoland Speedway because there is ABSOLUTELY no room to hold one. I was just amazed at how shitty the place was designed and its only 2 years old. You would think that they would make it more fan-friendly (you know, the people who pay for everything). But instead..its only corporate friendly (more money for the already rich people). I can see how last place still wins $50,000 now.
$80 a head call it an even $100(everybody spent at least $20) times 75,000 people equals 7,500,000 million dollars!!! Thats not even counting the suites upstairs. Just rediculous...like I said...If i get more tickets for free (which I will...:D ) then I will go..otherwise...I am gonna be a couch racer!!

Hunter...you must have never been to Party Cove at Lake of the Ozarks on 4th of July weekend bro...makes the Brickyard look like a church sermon.
