t3 experts/vets comment

i was doing some thinking today, nothing with medical backing but just a thought. it could be way off or might actually be something to think about but i wanted to post it and see what you guys thought. i know after running a t3 cycle your thyroid is not normal for about 4 weeks. since t3 at 12.5mcg's won't shut you down, do you think it would help it get going again if you rain it at 12.5 mcg's for a month following a cycle with t3? just a thought....comments....

12.5 won't shut you down totally because it's less than the natural levels that the gland would naturally produce....BUT, your body monitors thyroid hormone levels and sends the appropriate signals to the gland on how much to produce based on existing levels. IMO, the low level would probably help you feel a little less lethargic, but, since it would still be depressing the total output at least a little, it might stretch out full rebound time....of course, that's just my hypothesis.

thanks for your input. it was only an idea and i wanted others feedback. like gear101 said, it looked good on paper but would it work was the question.....

Essentially you'd just be prolonging the taper period. BeStrongBeWell is right on the money with his post. It's not necessary and will prolong the TSH supression period.

Your body always tries to regulate levels to what is considered normal so it probably won't have much of an impact if any. I think it would be better to just do a higher dosage and reap the benefits then taper down but really slow the taper starting at 25mcg/day and stay at that for a wk then taper down real slow for the next 4 wks dropping 6.25mcgs per wk. This should be better for your natural output to normalize without having an insufficient amount of T3 in your system to prevent fat accumulation.
