Fuck I waxed those myself, but the location must remain a secret.

As you know, the military has its own justice system.

That means I could end up in military prison. Which is worse than civvy prison, trust me...

There's only one branch that uses that kinda hardware.

The infantry.

I am a section and platoon-level machine gunner.

Hey there BG, how do you like the 3* power optical sight on the LMG (as seen in pic)?

Our minimi is different from your SAW:

we have:

Heavier barrels--couldn't fit the US lazer gear on em when we were in fort lewis on a training ex. Can pump out more rounds before heat warping. Less need for change in a fight.

a 3* power optical sight for better view of beaten zone

No barrel heat shield on top--for faster barrel change in firefight.

We are a small army, but all very good, with good tools at a low level. We don't have the big toys, M1A1s, all that, but we have it where it counts...

Did you ever hear about the battle at Kapyong Pass in Korea?

Our battalion held off overwhelming Chinese troops for a long long time, when they broke through, we started dropping arty right on our own positions to wipe em out. This was an old Canadian trick from world war one, we used it to win at vimy ridge.

Here's the story:

On the night of April 23-24, the Communists attacked the Canadian and Australian positions, screaming, shouting, blowing whistles and moving forward in encircling waves. The Canadians and Australians fought them off with everything they had - Captain Mills, in command of D Company, 2 PPCLI, even called down artillery fire directly on his position - but, at 1730 hrs on April 24, the Australians were forced to withdraw.

The battle-weary Canadians, receiving a fresh supply of food and ammunition at around 0400 hrs on April 25 by air-drop from four USAF C 119 Packet transports. In the afternoon of April 25, the Communists broke off their attack and the fighting was over.

Although the Communist forces at Kapyong outnumbered the Canadians by as much as eight to one, 2 PPCLI lost only ten killed and 23 wounded in the battle. (The Communists' casualty figures are not known.)

2 PPCLI fought so well that it earned the US Presidential Citation for "outstanding heroism and exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services." No other Canadians have ever received this distinction.

Outnumbered 8:1, we lost only ten guys.

The Aussies withdrew, and later counter-attacked, while the Canadians stayed firm and, when overrun, called down their own artillery on their positions -- three successive times for one platoon. When battalion headquarters was surrounded and attacked, Col. Stone had (as good commanders do) acquired more weaponry than was authorized -- some two dozen heavy and medium machine-guns which cut the Chinese to shreds. Recalled Boe: "All of us felt it was them or us. We weren't going to move and would have fought to the last man."

There are no firm numbers for Chinese casualties, but battlefield observers estimate 5-10,000 killed.

(so no more shit about the Canadian army!)

Yea that is a fine piece of machinery there for sure. At least the SAW is a big improvement over the M60's. Much easier to carry, and can fire M16 magazines if in a bind.

And calling fire on your own position. Holy Shit!!!

seen that last mel gibson movie, the vietnam one--they call arty on their own position--learned that trick from us...

scary but works--need a deep hole w/ a lot of overhead protection...hope it never happens to me!

peace, ZB

we have nothing but IAs and stoppages with the m16 mags unless we dump the whole mag at once...

love the belt/box combo though...
