insomnia SUCKS!

Im 2 weekds into my fina, and i cant fall asleep for shit at nihgt. sometimes im able to get aeay w/ a nap during the day, but im still tired. The worst part is im not growing like i should be. I went to doc, he prescripted a sleep aid, restoril, which does Nothing for gettin in bed. i may sleep for like 45 minutes or so, then i just wake up tired w/ this "wired" out feeling???
tonight i even took like 14 valiums over a couple hours to get any tiredness in me!!
ANY suggestions? i know this is a side of being "on", but damn how do we get big if we're not sleeping? btw, i hit the gyj twice today, chest this morn, 45 on the tread mill tonigh.

It sucks, i didn' get to bed till 4 am last night. Don't take a nap during the day. i find that makes it harder to fall asleep at night.
 
Man, im talkin about the times i get to sleep are usually between 45 minutes and like 2 hrs. then i lkay down, toss, turn, get that "hot" and anxious feeling while your on, and i just have hardly any desire to slepp. im lifting more intense than ever before. Ive tried valiums, they just made me clumsly, and fucked up. what do you guys take for hardass sleep?

btw, i got around 41/2 hrs last night.
 
Sleep is important. That's why I use sleep meds.

I work from 6 till 14, the next day from 14 till 22 the next day from 22 till 6 and than I am one day at home and than the cycle repeats. This regime is murderous and give me tons of sleeping probs. The juice doens't really do good 'bout that too. If I don't take sleep med I get exhausted within the week.

Best thing for me as I've said lots of times before. Ordinary cough sirup. Makes me real drowsy and makes me sleep like a baby.
 
a couple of thoughts...

-on the workouts...you are doing 2x a days. Are you cutting up for a competition? If not, I recommend that you cut back to 1x day and train hard and heavy during that 1.5 hrs or so.

-on sleeping, try not to have different bed and wake times for weekday/weekend, don't exercise at least 3 hrs before bedtime, don't eat at least 1-2 hrs before bed and IMO, stay away from sleep meds, because you WILL be dependent on ANY of them in a short time frame.
 
not on tren so can't relate,but have had insomnia for years.My trick right now is 15 to 25mg valium (ON AN EMPTY STOMACK!!!)When it kicks in then I take the liquid melatonin,keep the ac on low so I don't feel hot.I also pop magnesium and zinc on an empty stomach when I take the melatonin.It helps to relax the muscles,wait 10-15 minutes then take bedtime protein shake and I haven't slept like this in YEARS!!
 
Ok, its been 2 1/2 weeks now!!

ROOSTER, ive been trying the zma thing, but taking it w/ my protien along w/ my valium. im writing myself a note to try that right now, its a sound suggestion

BstrongBwell, i was just doin my cardio for 30-45 minutes around 11pm (i get off work at 10) but i work a summer job at a park, so im gonna start getting away w/ cadio around 7 or 8, that may help as well.

Cyberstefke, which cough syrup knocks you out? OTC? or precription, if its precriptions, thats cool, my docs tryin to help me out cause i told him my fiance left me!

Realweak. It's an OTC thing. I'm actually not taking the cough syrup itselve anymore but I have found a pill form of the active ingredient thats in it. It is caled Nuicalm over here and the active ingredient is Diphenhydramine HCL.
It works for some not for others. I take it about one hour before bedtime and then I start to feel real drowsy as if I'm drunk. It makes me fal asleep fast.
 
I was taking up tyo 4 Stilnocts per night and still wasnt sleeping well and felt exhausted when I got up in the morning.
I am on Prozac now and have reduced the sleeping med to 1, just to fall asleep. I am not using any gear at all so that cant be the problem. But if things arent calm in your head, you can be tired as hell and still suffer insomnia. In that case, like I am trying, you should sort out what the problems are and try to solve them. Then a sound nights rest will become yours again eventually.

wow,I didn't know that.I just thought valium was valium....learn something new everyday,I guess.....The trick to my trick is taking everything on an empty stomach and then taking your bedtime shake like,right b4 your going to pass out.Nothing,and I mean nothing has worked for me(I had insomnia bad)until I tried this.So hope it works for you.......

If you are talking about valium... I would stay as far away as you can unless really necessary. They can become highly addictive and have long term use side-effects.

Try to find a different solution first, bro...
