time between cycles

As most of you know from previous threads I'm doing my first 'real' cycle just now. It 'll end in about 2 wks. When it does I'll will have been on for 8 wks.

I'm quite anxious to start my fall bulking cycle and I was wondering how soon I could start it. I know the thumb rule is time on equals time off, but since this is a mild cycle I was wondering if I could strat sooner.

I'm on 250 enanth and 500 primo a week, btw.

Would 1 month off be ok?

Most standard blood tests for liver contain SGOT/SGPT. In athletes these values may be elvated solely from training,a gamma glutamyl transferase level(GGT) is the only real test you need as a screen for liver and AAS,the others may be falsely elevated...causing unnecessary concern for you and unnecessary further testing from your Doc. This article gives a concise explanation.

OBJECTIVE: There have been numerous reports of hepatic dysfunction secondary to anabolic steroid use based on elevated levels of serum aminotransferases. This study was conducted to distinguish between serum aminotransaminase elevations secondary to intense resistance training and anabolic steroid-induced hepatotoxicity in elite bodybuilders. DESIGN: This was a case-control study of serum chemistry profiles from bodybuilders using and not using anabolic steroids with comparisons to a cohort of medical students and patients with hepatitis. PARTICIPANTS: The participants were bodybuilders taking self-directed regimens of anabolic steroids (n = 15) and bodybuilders not taking steroids (n = 10). Blood chemistry profiles from patients with viral hepatitis (n = 49) and exercising and nonexercising medical students (592) were used as controls. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The focus in blood chemistry profiles was aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase (GGT), and creatine kinase (CK) levels. RESULTS: In both groups of bodybuilders, CK, AST, and ALT were elevated, whereas GGT remained in the normal range. In contrast, patients with hepatitis had elevations of all three enzymes: ALT, AST, and GGT. Creatine kinase (CK) was elevated in all exercising groups. Patients with hepatitis were the only group in which a correlation was found between aminotransferases and GGT. CONCLUSION: Prior reports of anabolic steroid-induced hepatotoxicity based on elevated aminotransferase levels may have been overstated, because no exercising subjects, including steroid users, demonstrated hepatic dysfunction based on GGT levels. Such reports may have misled the medical community to emphasize steroid-induced hepatotoxicity when interpreting elevated aminotransferase levels and disregard muscle damage. For these reasons, when evaluating hepatic function in cases of anabolic steroid therapy or abuse, CK and GGT levels should be considered in addition to ALT and AST levels as essential elements of the assessment.

good info gear! I'm sure everyone has concern for their livers around here. Do you know if pretty much any doc can just draw blood and do this test for you? I'm in College, so I would rather have the test done on campus then go home and explain to my parents what I am doing at the docs there.

Thanks bro,

J

Btw gear... is a liver check the only thing I should be concerned about? Aren't there other things that should be tested?

It's not just a liver panel that you need to consider IMO. The other big reason to go "off" and take a break outside of the liver stress and wallet stress is the downregulation of your natural test production...the 'ol testes. You want your natural test production to rebound fully before you go back on. Especially if you ever plan on having kids someday.

bsbw brings up another good point...

... meaning I would have to do a serum testosterone check? I don't know what is was pre-cycle. So I guess as long as it is in the normal range I should be ok. But clomid should bring levels up to normal, shouldn't it?

then when you have kids you really find out what wallet stress and many other kinda stresses there are j/k. I've got 4 so I'm just walking stress

LMAO :D

I still live at home with mom and dad. So I'm still a kid myself. I'm too crazy 'bout them either, but I know how quickly that can change...

you should have those test done before, during, and after just to know.. they are easy test for awhile i was going to a local medical college and having mine done then i got a better health plan..

Well that's not the prob. Doctor's visits aren't expensive here. It only cost about 3$ to go see the doc and about the same for the blood test itself. I didn't do it since it was a very mild cycle and I wasn't really planning on doing any more.

I have one from last year, so I do know in what range it should be.

just find a doctor that knows he stuff... not sure who it works there but here in the states whatever you tell the doc he can't tell anyone else.. even the law enforcement agencies.. so here you can go in and tell the doctor anything you want and tel can help you

The enanthate alone would take about 2 wks to clear your system so it would be like taking a 2 wk break if you waited 1 month before starting again. Patience Grasshoppa!

Patience is a bitch this is gonna be the longest month of my life can't wait for sept. I can here those little vials clicking together calling me.

Same here bro. Wish I had now been doing the cycle I'm planning for fall. Damn... the excitement...
