HCG Injections

What method do those who use this choose for a way of injection? I know it can be done Intra M or Sub Q. Last time I did it in the glute I almost collapsed on the floor from the pain. And that was only a .5cc injection. Now I'm not one to complain about pain. I endure Sus, Prop, Fina and bear with it. But this was unbearable. Is there a location where it is less painful? Superchicken? Anyone?

i never feel pain from hcg, ever, and beleive me i am a big girl when it comes to pain. ive done both im and sub q, neither hurt me. right now im doing 500-1000iu per shot, and i have mine mixed at 5000iu per ml, usin a slin pin.

how many iu per ml is you solucion? high concentrations per ml will def increase discomfort.

Mine is from a company called Intervet. The brand is Chorulon. When mixed it contains 5000iu in a 5ml bottle which means 1000iu/cc. Three other people I know how have done experience the same thing. I don't understand why it is this painful. It feels like you are injecting rubbing alcohol right into the muscle. The only thing I could see is that Intervet has made the product for Vet use only and aren't worried about the pain.

Ouch!

I finnished my cycle and am trying this stuff for the first time w/clomid. the 1st injection didn't hurt but the next day I took the second injection in my other ass cheek and man I broke into a cold sweat. I felt it go down my leg. I always pull the plunger back to make sure I haven't hit a vein but moved my injection site after I put half a cc in cause I thought i might be too close to a nerve or something. It was just as bad in the other site too this stuff kills I think it helped by injecting it very slowly but it sure gives you a funny feeling.

HCG shot and numbness

I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem that I have had with the HCG shot. My husband gave it to me in the lower back are almost at the butt. It was painful and I was uncomfortable for a few minutes. Then, the next day I began to feel a tingly sensation above my knee and up about five inches. It is only on the top of my leg and a small area. But now I am having skin numbness, I don't have much sensation on the skin but can feel pressure and a pin prick. My doc thinks that my husband could have possibly hit my sciatic nerve and that my feeling should eventually come back. Has anyone experienced anything like this at all? I am just a little concerned since it has been two weeks and I am still having thr numbness. Appreciate any info you can give to me. Thanks.

cglass that is a nightmare situation, I have to agree with your doc, it is possible that he hit the sciatic nerve. Check out www.spotinjections.com you can get an idea where you should be injecting from that. How long have the sides been apparent, maybe it is just swelling around the nerve creating pressure.

hcg can be injected either sub q or im, I prefer sub q because of the easy of injection. I have never had pain associated with either application, but, then again, I don't use VET grade stuff.

Thanks alot EatingMachine for the reply. I will look at the website that you gave me and hopefully it will give me some good tips on where to inject the next time around. I have another injection in a few days so wish me better luck this time!
