hey all, I searched my local sporting good stores, I'm going to start looking on the internet right now, but I thought maybe one of you knew a place online to get them cheap?

thanks,

Man? really? all the local ones around here dont! I guess they have selective inventory, cuz I believe they are all individually owned?

That is true, they are individually owned but many carry the same products! I can't believe they don't have them..that's where I purchased mine!

A lot of the online supplement places do. I know www.netrition.com carries a couple kind, cheap plastic ones, and the electronic ones (I have both).

I personally like the electronic one. I have a scale (not the one pictured, though) and the two fat calipers. The cheap ones seem just that. The electronic ones still aren't completely reproducable, though. And my scale (imo) reads very high for me. Even at 175 lbs, it was saying I was 18% body fat (pretture sure I was at 9%), and now it's saying 22% (pretty sure I'm at 202lbs @ 13% now).

If you like the cheap ones, netrition has them for $7.95, or free with a $75 order (that's how I got mine).

Check these out, I am pretty sure they are the highest quality and highest accuracy that you can buy. But for that price they better wipe your ass for you too. Just to let you know they are out there.

I have used this brand of calipers before and they feel like they are high quality when you first pick them up.

Buy these and then wlak around the gym askign people if they want to get their fat checked and charge a buck or two less than the gym charges. Do that about fifty times (depending on what you charge of coure) and the calipers are paid for in no time. Oh yeah don't let the 24hour fitness catch you doing that either or you can kiss that sweet deal of yours good bye.
