How many people have it in there state..

here where i live it has hit here hard this summer.. alot of horse coimg down with it and one human case now.. just got my KILLER MALTESE checked out at the Vet.. and the vet i use cares for the animals at the Zoo here in town so he's pretty good Doc.. anyway talked to him about it and really taught me alot about it.. and yes it's here to stay.. but if a healthy human get's the virus it's good for you.. because the way he exspaned it to me was that it's alot like Chicken Pox.. once you have it and you recover from it you can never get it again.. but the older and younger peoplr or the unheathly people can get really sick.. so if the flu like disease goes on more than 4-5 days he says still go to the doc and get some meds.. but then you can never get it again..

it's highly unlikely for someone that doesn't have an immune defficiency to catch the virus.

It's just hyped up by the media since there's not much else going on in the news.

It has been around for a while down south. It is just a little worse this year because last year we did not have a real cold winter to kill of all the bugs. The media does hype everything.

I think two people have been diagnosed with it in my state. Probably more with it and just don't know yet.

Here in TX we've had quite a few!!! Not totally sure about deaths but many people have gotten the virus! Several that I know of just about 15-20 mins from where I live.....some crazy stuff.

A healthy young subject will just respond to the viral infection as if it were the flu. YOu get sick, but you get over it and never get it again. Actually most viral infections are like that unless they have the ability to mutate or several different strains which constanly change (the flu or the cold virus). But the pox and several other viruses have one significant phenotype which once you get it, your immune system will protect you from it later. Of course, if you are a geezer, with a severely impared immune system, you are still SOL if you get it. Thats why so many elderly fall victem to herpes or shingle, and other viruses which you never see in young patients

There's a family here that has been quarantined because of two mysterious deaths. It's not West Nile, but I just thought I'd throw this in. Have you heard about this, BJ or Highside?
