crossing MX border during mid week..bad idea?

i friend of mine offered to go to mexico and get some gear for me during the middle of the week. i was wondering if its more risky to cross during the middle of the week than the weekend. im thinking that since it would be less crowded during the week that it might be more likely that he gets pulled over into secondary. any thoughts?

Traffic at the border can be hard to predict, even during the week. It all depends on how many checkpoints are open. Going through the San Ysidro border crossing, always take the far right lane, it moves twice as fast (it opens up into more lanes). As far as the risk goes, out of the hundred or so times I've crossed, I've only been to secondary inspection once. Be smart about it. Don't take across more than you can tape to your nuts, which is no more than two 10 ml bottles. And don't bring back syringes.

Don't go during the week! YOu're asking for trouble 'cause there isn't much traffic and you will be alot more likely to be searched..

As far as only taking across two 10ml vials "lol" that is a joke...
It would take you several trips just to do one of my cycles...

If you walk across I would tape it but if you drive it there are so many places to hide it....

I have personally taped 20 vials when walking and driving, well let's not even go there....

it does'nt matter when you go or what lane you take, if customs decides to mess with you you're f*%^&!. the border is a very risky thing to mess with. be very careful, too many of my s.texas bros have been fined and had thier gear confiscated.
