how long can insulin be out of the fridge?

Never used it, but I have seen it shipped long distance before. I know people with diabetes carry it around and it is not refrigerated. Only the one they are not using is. I would say a few days would be fine. I have read where it can be out for 30 days. Usually if a pharmacy needs to keep something cool when they ship it they will put a cool pack in it to keep it cool.
