ok we have had the what do you do threads, what do you drive thread, and the what type of degrees do you have threads---now after seeing all you guys with all these toys--HOW MUCH DO YOU MAKE A YEAR!

it baffles me that guys younger then me who are still in school and shit have better cars and more toys

i have the usual payment--rent, power, phone, etc..
plus a the 35k im in debt to the nice people that helped my get my degrees (3 of them)

i make 58k and change a year

maybe its cause i put my money in shit like mutual funds, cds, iras--so i don't have to work till im 75

so lets hear it how much guys

Just because people have all these toys, does not mean they make a lot. People in america are so in debt. I make quite a bit more than some of my friends, yet they have all kinds of toys and nice ass cars. They pay out the ass for it too. They scrape by every month, and what they cant afford they pay for the next 20 years on their credit cards. You are doing the right thing by putting your money where you should. All those toys get old and outdated in a few years. Retiring early and being able to take care of your family is much more important. I have a friend that has a nice new BMW, motorcycle, and Jet ski. Yet everytime I try and get him and his wife to go out and eat they dont have the money.

don't get me wrong i have toys--to me my mt bikes and road bike are toys and mighty pricey ones (which i have had for a while)--but the cars, motorcycles and shit--crazy! the only cc debt i have is to labriarvets and soon to chem

Thats all I charge is little shit. If I want something big, I try and save for it. It feels much better when I out right buy something. Well I have a truck payment. I know guys that a car payment, motorcycle payment, boat payment, Big screen TV payment, Stero Payment, and tons of other shit. Then if they go out on saturdays they have to charge everything, because there bank account is broke. Like have you ever seen the people driving the brand new BMW or Mercedes and pull into a 30,000 dollar house. There car is worth more than there house. I have toys, but try and save for them.

Well Im just the simple lil bastard i guess. Three kids, wife, dog,a mortgage, and a friggin minivan that SHE drives. But however I have been fortunate with the car business, about 120 to 130K a year, and I just pick out a car, truck whatever from the lot, drive it, and 3500 miles later, park it and pick out another one. So Ive been able to go from a Trans Am to a Yukon Denali in four months. But hell with all the toys, when I die I just wanna be ripped and jacked in my casket!!!!!!!LOL

Im a broke ass student. I hope to make something decent one day with a degree.

All of you guys with toys SUCK! :D

Im not in debt yet though. Although when I go to a university Im sure that will change.

I'm with you....college student! But already in debt...still working full-time and tryin to school part time! It's rough but hopefully will pay off one day! And for the rest of you doing well...don't take it for granted, be thankful! ;)

the more I make the more I seem to spend.
Child support and now catholic school :)
Mortgage
car payment
I have money deducted automatically for my 401k and another deduction goes into a bank account that I cannot easily withdraw from. A set my self up like this because I am not to disciplined with the cash but I seem to have everything I need but not everything I want. Be gratefull for what you have and not envious of what everyone else has and you will be just fine :)

I agree with the ones that say be thankful for what you have. I know a lot of people with less than I have and I am thankful for it every night. I mean every night. Just think if you were the one on the steet without money to buy something to eat. Without a roof over your head. Without money to give to your kids. Without a job to go to. There are so many people in the world less fortunate than ourselves. Just think, we all have internet access everyday. There are people in the world that have never sat down and typed on a computer. It's hard to believe but it's a fact. I know a few right now. All I am saying is be thankful for what you have.

it's not just how much you make - it's how you spend it or don't. Now the "Dont" part is the hard part cause sometimes you just have to (child support, alimony, mortgage/rent).. It's the excess, no matter how small, that needs to be dealt with the right way. That, in and of itself, can make you some serious cash if done correctly.

yup...debt is good but in my case sometimes it is good...that way uncle sam doesnt take anything except 200 dollars from me a year...ooops...did i say that outloud...

I make 60k a year but am never satisfied. Debt just drives me nuts I just start scheming on how to pay it off. It drives my GF nuts, especially when we are both on ECA and have short fuses!

I make roughly 20k a year, and i'm a college student. All my expenses are covered by the school because of scholarships.

I work off and on doing computer work for various companies, and i rarely spend it.

i never buy anything unless i want to pay cash up front for it.

The only thing that costs me money is women, i hate buying them shit. Well, i don't mind actually, but ya know.

I'm 20, i have 34k and change in the bank, drive a 6000$ car, and that's about it.

I FUCKING HATE seeing people my age driving 60,000$ cars that their parents just gave them for no FUCKING REASON...

people learn to realize the value of money, that's the reason collegekidsare so much in debt. They've been given everything their whole life, and they never realize how hard it actually is to come by nice things. The average college student has 2-3k in credit card debt.

I'm probably about to blow my savings and either get a 2002 lexus or a 2002 tahoe. I feel i've worked for it, so why the hell not.

This will make you guys feel much better

Been out of school about 5 years-total of 24 years of "school". Sallie mae (that bitch) has me for 110,000 after five years still -consolidated for 30 years when I finished school. Im in my thirties and drive a shittier car than dudes I see in college or grad school, 10 years my junior. Dont even have kids to show for it like some of you. Just a big ass nasty student loan thats grown with interest like it was jammin fina for 10 years.

Well I'm like a lot of people. Wife, kids and a mortgage. The mortgage will be gone shortly:) But I'm a tight ass when it comes to the money. I don't mind spending it when its time but to see people piss it away is a shame. I not going to tie myself down with so much I can't go the places I want to go or do the things I want to do. But it takes all kinds I reckon.

Another broke ass college student here too. I hope they don't make me payback those loans or I'll be broke for another 23 years.

Credit card debt sucks. every time i think about the credit card companies i think about the ending to the movie Fight Club where the blow up all the EMPTY credit card companies buildings and all there records ( likely to never happen) but would be nice as long as NO ONE GETS HURT.
