I went to an endocrinologist last week to try to get him to recommend gyno surgery to my insurance company. What a joke...1st thing he asks is if I have taken any "weightlifting" suppliments...I said "NO:D " Anyway to make a long story short they took some blood to check my Test levels (they should be normal) i have been off since end of May. Anyway he tells me that if they are low that that is causing the gyno?? And that they will give me Test injections?

Now wouldn't giving me Test injects not only raise my Test levels but also my Estrogen levels? Thats kinda what I believe will happen. The doc says that the injects will get rid of the gyno  ...so there you have it..new gyno cure....Test injects.

This is a guy who specializes in hormones in the body....our medical professionals are in a sad state of affairs. I am going to play this game with him for awhile and then once we are done playing "lie to each other" I am gonna get back on. Anyway..just some food for thought for all the guys who listen to what there docs have to say.............456

Hell, maybe it'll make your gyno worse, which is fine if you already need surgery, right? Then you'll be able to get your insurance company, or him, to pay for it, since his "cure" made it worse?

mr456 your Doc is actually right even though intuitively he may seem incorrect. He's basing his opinion on the assumption that you have not done supplements and therefore have not been exposed to supraphysiologic levels of sex hormones. If you had an preexisting abnormally low testosterone but your other hormone levels were normal(estrogen/prolactin/LH etc) it would create an unfavorable testosterone to E2/PL ratio and that could cause gyno. Supplementing your testosterone to a normal level that would restore the ratio to normal could reverse glandular gyno(not fibrotic gyno. The amount of T that he would generally use in this case senerio would be 200-300mg test per month...that's month.(not every third day, lol) With a therapeutic dose of T that corrects a defientcy like that aromatization is seldom a problem.

Sucks that you have to lie to your Doc,but I understand why. I think you might wanna fess up to mega doses of "Andro" so that both of you are hormonaly on the same page and you still stay "legal" that way 2.

what he's telling you is that your Estrogen are high and causing gyno so test would offset the the low levels of test.. now ask him waht the price would be for the test and see if you can't sneak it into your heath plan.. then don't piss the guy off because someday you'll be 30 and then it's time to run in and see him and see if you can't get some GH :D

im hear to tell ya that i have had so many bad experiences with doctors. they think cause their doctors, they know it all. i have had docs try to put me on shit that had nothing to do with the problem. most of the time i go to the doctors already knowing what i need. so i tell them. they usually do not like this to much. if they dont give me what i ask for, i go to a different doc. once your walking out of their office, they usually say" ok wait, i'll give you that med". this is cause they want the money for the doctor visit.

i have been to many different doctors. once you find one that gives you what you ask for, keep him. these are good doctors. because they dont have the" im the doctor, your the patient" attitude. they listen to their patients, and this is agood thing.

i am facinated with how medicine works and have researched all meds. someday i would like to become a pharmacist. i know my medicines and doctors do not like this.

Get the script. But have to agree if your doctor assumes you have never done andro or AS, the low test is causing the gyno.

I think once my Test levels come back normal then we will see where he goes. My gyno is from puberty...not AAS. So it doesn't really matter if I come clean with him. The only reason I am not is because I have excellent health care for a very reasonable price for me and my entire family. I don't want to risk losing that. Most likely I will just have to dig deep and just pay for surgery out of my pocket.
Gear101...what do you mean..when I turn 30?? I will be 31 in April..and the doc already mentioned something about GH:D .
Thanks to all for straightening me out. I guess I didn't tell him the whole truth which is probably why he gave me his theory. So I guess the only reason I didn't agree with his ideas is because I know the truth;) . Oh well its worth a shot.....and BTW Presser..your lucky you've got Deca to type all of your medical jargon for you..lol..........456

mr456.... You can not go see your Dr, lie to him, and expect to get a correct medical evaluation bro. Not to mention, although Endocrinologists are hormone Doctors, very few understand the physical reprocusions and side effects from using hormone replacement therapy for performance enhancement, except what the govewrnment and AMA have been force feeding them for years. Plus, gyno surgery is ellective, it is very doubtful if your insurance will pay for it unless there is a possibility you might have breast cancer. In other words....YOU ARE PROBABLY GOING TO HAVE TO PUT OUT THE $5000 (or so) YOURSELF BRO. Later

the doc is rite and wrong cuz one cause of gyno is when your estrogen level out does the test level.
