good to see you weeding out all the scruff bucks ...leave the big ones for me :D

how many of you guys shoot doe or anterless deer .???..i see alot of guys do this and its completly stumps me why ...mature bucks with good genetics hit rutt and breed many does ..now why would you shoot does in your hunting area where you know mature bucks are rutting and breeding ..every hunter wants a large buck or other big game animal to hang on the wall ...its kind of like my dick is bigger than urs ...lol bragging rights i guess ...i just disagree with shooting inmature bucks or does ...the 6 point you shoot this year maybe just turn out to be a really nice 8 or 10 in years to follow ...

Hey Bro good luck hunting.

Used to do when I was a teenager, never found it fun. However, respect the dedication to sit in a tree for hours nearly motionelss.

Wrong. The taking of does is needed for quality deer management. In other words, if there are too many does, then the "big" bucks get extremely wore out from chasing during the rut, which makes their recovery time longer, thus preventing them from reaching their genetic potential as far as horn growth and weight. If you really want to shoot some big bucks, thin out your doe herd a bit, shoot any buck that has thin tines, and nature will take care of the rest.

i see your point ...in my area you can harvest a doe anythime through out the season with proper tags ..and your can purchase as many anterless tags as you want ...i guess i looked at it as they way i see things around here ...the Brown GO Down is the big sayin around here ...alot of yahoos shooting everything that moves ..and in term the deer heards have suffered along with the larger bucks ..i guess i shouldnt have made a statement like that because i grouped all states and deer management together when in fact they are from from that ...

Forgot to mention that I recieved a doe tag this year for the first time. They only give so many out in my area. And we only have 6 days for gun deer season.

wasted you have to learn morre about deer management. Watch some of the shows where they have ranches they watch the deer for years and weed out the weak gened ones. trust me the half rack in that picture wasn't going to get any better 4 yrs old and a 28 in neck I'm pretty sure he done all he could plus this year here you have the option for taking 5 does pop's are too high cause of horn hunters. Can't eat the horns they don't cook good ;)

hell you guys want to harvest deer come to Iowa.. we got big one's from them eating all the down corn and we have such a high population that they let people hunt them inside the city limits(bow only).. in one park here in town there's like 800 deer.. and the park is just alittle bigger than Central Park in New York..

some does have to be thinned out thats all there is to it, but I DISagree with the redneck thinking, "if it's brown, it's down!"

I personally haven't been hunting in years, but I use to love it

want to play a good trick on a hunting buddie.. have some-else call him up and say they are for the DEPT OF NATURAL RESOURCES and tell'm that you have heard that he has game in his freezer from last year and a guy is about to pull up to his house to do an inception.. and if there's game in there from last year they will be pulling his license for the next five years for harvesting too much game.. LOL

I was out this weekend Bow hunting in NH, it was way to hot though 80 degrees.....Can't wait for the cooler weather. In my area MA you can take unlimited does with the bow, buck to doe ratio is as bad as 10 to 1 does to bucks. I see nothinig wrong with taking does, I do like to let smaller bucks pass.
