What carb you prefer for breakfast?

My main options are oats, cream of wheat or grits, am I missing another one? I know Go Lean is also a choice. Do any of you steer clear of grits cuz its basically corn? IE higher insulin spike BUT if you train hard enough, you put that to good use..
 
Here is what is do....1 cup of instant oats...but instead of water I use 1 cup of liquid egg whites microwave 1 minute throw 1 package of Splenda and boom 54 carbs and 25 protein in one swoop....the egg whites liquid doesn't turn into eggs with only a minute in the microwave so it serves as my water to mix the oats with

I do intermittent fast. So my breakfast is usually black coffee with a pinch of rice/almond milk and maybe a little sugar.
 
I like 4 slices of Ezekiel bread and 16 egg whites or 40g of whey.
I do eat some ezekiel often, what a great low GI carb. The egg whites, well I only eat whites when I need to get below 5%, i eat 4 whole eggs in AM and 4 whole eggs right before bed time. love eggs!

Anyone have a problem with grits? I'm even a northerner! go figure
 
I prefer Krispy Kreme original glazed donuts, but that's counterproductive to our goal. LOL I like grits with no butter, but some sugar free syrup instead.
 
I was talking about getting that many egg whites down on a daily,,,I'm so sick of eating egg whites that's why I put them in oatmeal now.

Bro what kind of ezekiel do you buy? They all are in the $5-7 range, I usually get the $5 one


I get the cinnamon raisin and I think it's around 6.
 
I can't stand the taste of grits. Oatmeal makes me want to throw up. I like fruits like strawberries and bananas for breakfast along with bran flakes cereal. It is best to eat fruits for breakfast and lunch. Eating them in the evening is not good because the body will sense too high a sugar level in the bloodstream and turn the sugar into fat and store it. It dosen't do that earlier in the day because of the increased energy level.
