Gluten and lactose free protein powder?

I am gluten and lactose intolerant. I am out of protein powder and am looking for something that won't bother my stomach.

I see that Myogenix has a whey isolate product called ISO. It claims, "Unlike most competing products, ISO contains:" A list of 14 items folllws, the first of which is, "ZERO GLUTEN"; the last of which is "LESS THAN .5g LACTOSE". So far, so good (I can deal with a small amount of lactose with no negative effects). However, they have the following disclaimer in fine print: "THIS PRODUCT IS MANUFACTURED IN A PLANT THAT PRICESSES MILK, SOY, WHEAT & EGGS."

Which means, it very well COULD be, and some batches almost ceetainly are, contaminated with gluten. While I can tolerate small amounts of lactose, I cannot tolerate small amounts of gluten without discomfort.

I looked at Jay Robb's line of protein powders, because he is gluten intolerant also. His powders claim "gluten-free ingredients" but does NOT specifically say "gluten-free". The careful wording "gluten-free ingredients" as opoosed to saying simply, "gluten-free" makes me think it, too may be processed in a plant that processes wheat.

Does anybody know of a quality protein powder that does not contain carbohydrates, or at least a very small amount, which is definitely GLUTEN-FREE?

I would go to a site that allows you to make your own custom blends of protiens and stop using the "normal" stuff that they sell at GNC. You will have access to way more options and higher quality protien, but you will have to do some work to come up with your own blends ( big question is how important is taste to you, if you got to have "birthday cake" protien go back to GNC).

PM me if you want to know who I use, I am not trying to schill for them on the open forum!!

PM sent. I never heard of such a thing, anxious to learn more!

I don't have to have "birthday cake", but "tolerable" is required... LOL!
