In an attempt to bring the latest and greatest stimulant to market, many companies are using Eria Jarensis extract so I want shed some light into this new ingredient. Real Eria Jarensis extract consists of 2 main constituents that are phenylethylamine(PEA) derivatives(most companies use synthetic Eria Jarensis which consists solely of N,N,-dimethylphenylethylamine). As I've discussed earlier, PEA are pretty much worthless bc 1) it is very quickly metabolized by the enzyme Monoamine Oxidase and 2) they are missing the alpha methyl group needed for efficient binding.

These 2 compounds, N-methyl phenylethylamine and N,N-dimethyl phenylethylamine also lack the alpha methyl group. Being N-methylated, they may act like hordenine does, binding to monoamine oxidase, which prolongs the effects of other amine-based stimulants. Another pathway is that they can increase the production of catecholamines like dopamine and norepinephrine. Either way, these molecules are not as strong as DMAA. Being N-methylated, they can cross the BBB more effectively, as the methyl group makes the molecule more fat soluble. Common doses for this are anywhere from 150-250mg. Worth mentioning, there is a 3rd PEA derivative found, N,N,N-trimethyl PEA, which would be quaternary amine(positively charged) which may have strong MAO-B inhibition. Eria Jarensis is found in SP250 by @gaspari and Dexamine Black by Giant Sports, amongst others. I do like this compound stacked with caffeine and nootropics, but I still prefer DMHA and 1,4-DMAA.
