Dimethylaminoethanol(DMAE) is a nootropic compound naturally found in the body. It is an excellent precursor to choline(gets methylated by SAMe) and acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that helps nerve cells communicate. DMAE can help reduced concentrations of beta-amyloid in the brain, which are plaques that build up in your brain that are associated with Alzheimer's.

Why I like this compound is bc it improves cognitive function and focus without stimulant effects. Like I mentioned, it readily converts to choline/acetylcholine and is a cheaper choline source compared to CDP-choline/Alpha-GPC. DMAE increases blood and oxygen flow to the brain, as well as glucose uptake which is the fuel on which your brain runs. If you've followed me for a while, you know that I'm a huge fan of nootropic compounds for preworkouts and combining them with stimulants. Daily doses of DMAE are 300-1500mg/d. Unlike choline bitatrate, DMAE isn’t positively charged so it can cross the BBB more effectively. I foresee more and more preworkouts to start including nootropic compounds. One of my favorite choline sources. For the price, you can't beat its effects.

Hmm.. if it reduces beta-amyloid plaques, why haven't we heard about any studies of it being used on actual Alzheimer patients? Seems like something is missing here.

Good question. Not a lot of money in cures. I hate to say it, but I am really starting to think it.

why would they want to "cure" us. we are their bread and butter. that's why they only teat the symptoms. they also came up with regular check ups to keep you coming back, so they make even more. if you don't come back, you'll be looking for a new doc. sucks.

You can search DMSO and Hydrogen Peroxide on the next and find that it is being used in Europe to cure some cancers. You will not find that in the States. No profit to be made.

years ago there was some studies done with vitamin b-15, i think, that showed promise with curing cancer. low and behold they kind of outlawed it. there have been other countries that people have went to, to cure their cancers as well, because here in the us, they don't.
