As you guys know I got hurt about 3 years ago and it ended my career. The shit bags did everything they could to get rid of me, but the Dude is relentless... relentless. Lawsuits are coming to a close and we are in a manageable position for me to get my PhD. Silk will be the primary bread winner during this time and once I'm done with school and get a job she is done working. She has been my saviour through all of this. She is the light of day for me.... so I thought it would be fair to get her something to enjoy.... what do you think?? 650hp Corvette Z06... 7 speed manual with Sunset Orange Metallic paint. VERY limited production. It's a totally different perspective.... After this we are done... settled and ready to get back in the gym and focus on our time together. We haven't been on much as I am at school 8 hours most days then straight to work for 8 hours, then sleep go to class for 2 hours, work for 8 hours... you get the point. Had to have them back it off as I've got some exams coming up.

Work at a Chevy dealer and I can say these are serious Badass !! Power, style, and the price isn't bad for a American hot rod.
I also drove the ZL1 that is sick see though hood, carbon fiber everywhere and for $120,000 still cheaper than a Ferrari and fast as hell !!

I don't know why I posted that in the lab review forum.... come to think of it, I don't remember posting it at all! Another ambien episode I guess.
This thing is just amazing. I think it will be very helpful in keeping things in perspective while I'm in the pharmacy program. I don't think I would be happy with it as my primary vehicle. It's not built for bigger people. Silk fits nicely though and I have been taking it here and there... I want to do the Stage 2 Aero kit woth a bigger splitter and larger rear spoiler so I can really do some high-speed runs. We will see. Been waiting on this last settlement check for like 3 weeks! The attorney said they trying to negotiate some medical bills... well they better have done something. I've barely got money for groceries as I expected he check 3 days after we agreed on the settlement...
Ill see if I can figure out how to do a video for you guys. 650hp is no joke!

This weird kid from the neighborhood keeps knocking on my door asking to look at it and wanted me to start it. Today he came over and asked me to take him around the neighborhood. I say kid, but he's probably 17.. it's very strange... I don't know what to make of him.... perhaps he is handicapped.. either that or he is up to something.

We went to a Halloween party last night. We haven't really been out in a year and I didn't pace myself well. We were still recovering and he came over knockin on the door at 1215!! He was like "are we going or...". Kind of like I was holding him up.. I told him we were recovering and maybe tomorrow... really strange.. It's a cool car, but not something I would go knocking on someone's door.. this kid is freaking me out

It's going to see some track time and I want to do some of the HPDE events so I'm looking into a stage 2 aero package. Larger carbon fiber splitter and full undertray as well as the larger rear spoiler. They have a top of the line Z07 model which includes full on race carbon rotors and the full carbon aero package, but it's like 9k... I wanted the stage 2 from the start, but this car was so close to everything I wanted that I couldn't pass on it. I'll post some pics of what I'm talking about

This is the exact look I'm going for. It may be a while though. It's a good chunk of change. Hong to make it to a HPDE in December with a couple buddies. One has a modded Viper and the other has a ZL1 Camaro that makes over 680rwhp... I'm going to get video for you guys.

A couple that we are god friends with have a Viper and fhey are both in really good shape. We have a fdied that does photos for magazines with bad ass cars and hot girls so we are going to have him do a shoot with the four of us and the Viper and Z06. GTR's are nice... but this Z06 makes 650hp... it will smoke a GTR. They will do 10's in the quarter with traction...
And the carbon fiber roof comes off...
but I will be looking for some GTR's to pick on

Friend of mine gave me a ride in a GTR, and he showed off the acceleration. We were at 100mph in 3 seconds on a small side street with cars parked on the sides, and I thought I was going to die, lol! It's snug. I have my left arm on the top of the steering wheel and my right arm on the shifter kind of slouched forward. I cant sit back. It's tighter than my C6 Corvette was. Its comfortable though... I think... honestly man its like being in a jet fighter plane I think. There is so much instant power that you forget that its so tight. In fact most of the time your butt hole is puckered so your grateful for the tight fit.
Insurance was no problem. About $120 every 6 months more than the truck... so no problem there. I've never been in a GTR. My understanding is it's easier to launch and go fast especially since it's AWD. I haven't been able to get all the way into this yet as its pretty brutal. The tires break loose even in third gear. There is so much power and so much going on around you that it's almost overwhelming right now. When the tires catch it slams you back into the seat. I saw some stars last night so I have backed down the enthusiasm for now. I've had lots of high hp cars, but this is a TVS blower so it makes boost instantly... so instant torque.. making it much harder to put the power down... but so much fun.. once I figure it all out its going to be insane. I'm hoping to get the aero package done in the next few weeks and do some 170 -180mph runs on the bridge at midnight on the weekends. I won't do it without the aero kits though.
To 60 the GTR may be faster depending on drivers... it's AWD and heavier and less powerful. Once the Corvette has traction (or a familiar driver) its over... they will crack 10's in the quarter and from a roll will kill a GTR. Thats not to say GTR's aren't bad ass.. I'm just a Corvette guy through and through and this is my dream car... I've got a buddy with a Viper... he's just a Dodge guy... I don't hold that against him though... I even let off once in a while so he can catch up

yeah GTR's are very fast off the line in the quarter, but on the highway stock to stock, I believe the Z06 has it. Chevy has been a highway production for quite some time now with their sports cars. I saw a GTR run a 9.8 at orlando speedway last year, almost 90 degrees outside, looked like a normal GTR, obviously work was done under the hood, or at least programmed, but stock rims and tires, no body changes, or even exhaust. The Launch is insane, but again AWD v RWD is insane. I hope to go to the track and run a better run w my 300, bc on 245s I had 0 launch even with 22psi in the rear, and still ran a 13.9, since than I have a programmer and T stat with 275s in the rear
