Post injection pain can literally be a pain in the butt, amongst other places.
Hygiene and sterility, pre injection is obviously paramount in avoiding PIP.

Firstly get your injection point, then pull the skin across or down from that point, this moves the cutaneous and subcutaneous tissues a centimetre or two, this helps reduce the sensitivity of nerve endings, remembering to keep an eye on the injection point.
Next insert the needle sharply in at a 90dg angle to the depth you need.

Inject the steroid (after aspirating) at a rate of about 10 secs/ml, when fully injected keep the needle in place for another 10secs, so allowing the steroid to seep into the muscle.

Remove the syringe quickly, at exactly the angle you went in and release the skin, this is what stops any of your steroid leaking out and reduces bleeds, then apply a little pressure to the area, but don't massage the area immediately afterwards, wait a couple of minutes or you can cause some of the oil to be released back up the needle track and into subcutaneous tissue, which can lead to swelling and PIP.

Exercising the muscle afterwards will assist the absorption of the steroid by increasing blood flow to the area.

Finally, if you know where and how to inject safely into the ventrogluteal muscle, this is the best choice as there are no major nerves or blood vessel.

I find that warming the oil up a little bit helps as well as most of my pip comes from injecting too fast usually caused by the amount of force I need to apply to the the oil to pass through the needle. Interested in trying the ventrogluteal muscle injection as i've never tried and i'll even try pulling the skin down as I've never heard of that. Great thread bear!

I forgot to add that I heat my syringe for at least 60 seconds prior to injecting. Warm up that oil and it is smooth!!!

This is what I do. Draw gear place plastic body under hot running with pin up out of water at angle. Heat till a drop starts to come out tip from heathe expansion. Getting oils warm helps if they cold they won't match body temperature and that alone can cause pip. Push slow and relax breathing deep in and out slow. I put it in and let it go. Relax feel muscle with hand if it's tense move till soft then put hands back on syringe and push slow. If it stops move till relaxed again. Only time I get pip is when wife does me so I know it's mostly techniques. I only pin hip and glutes and I pin at least twice every week. When doing more gear and fast esters I do outer thighs, and fatty or soft area top of tri under shoulder. Delts injection always too big most of time

Venoglute. That is what I call hip. Be sure u find right spot though it ranges from person to person. U don't wanna hit that joint and avoid any arteries u see. It's like butter pin just sinks in and I can go week after week. Then I go back to glute medias and minimas

One other thing, I push skin with one hand to side like article says most of time. But what I do is not jab or poke. I put it against skin and turn with pressure like a drill but back and forth till it starts sinking. Sometimes it's dull if I gotta go in 3 bottles then some stoppers are hard. I have a technique I have used for years with out ever an issue if I gotta reuse but don't

I never use the same needle to draw out, I use a 21 for that and then replace with a 25 to pin with.

That is a lot of oil to get threw such a small rig. You better have huge thumb muscles. :)

I just use 22 gauge period draw and inject. Need to buy some smaller to switch. Yall are finding lure lock 1"×25g?
I haven't tried lately my pharmacy just had 25 in 5/8" last time in lure lock. But the pain from time to time is as stated oil cold, pushing too fast causing squirting pressure, high bb concentration, or different preparation that body usually adjust to after 2 weeks.
But I did get soreness and knots when doing alot and having to re-do before area heals. But for the most part only gear I ever used that "hurt " was supertest 450 and kalpa brand

Yes i get my 25g in both 1" and 1.5" online. 1" for my lats and other leaner body parts and 1.5" for my glutes.

I use 1" and 5/8" everywhere. I am scared of 1-1/2" I don't have enough fat anywhere. Even use 1/2 in glute. Wish I had more meat it's seems I have less space being short of it

Like many here, I use a seperate tip only to draw and of course a virgin needle to inject. My public service announcement to all here, that as most may know, is to swab with alcohol the drawing tip at the bottom before screwing into the barrel. I got a nasty infection many yrs ago, had to have Dr lance the big bubble on my glute which left a scar that took yrs to go away.

I keep the tip in a zip locked baggie which on the inside I also swab

I always inject after showering. Then I run area with 90% alcohol. I have re-used same syringe and change tip. I always immediately draw alcohol twice and squirt out after shot in case I gotta reuse body. Am not condoning but have used alcohol for needle also and re-used if I forgot to get more. As long as u clean and know what u doing infection shouldn't be a problem. Stay clear of zits in areas injecting. Wipe counter top off with alcohol. Never let needle touch anything. Never let alcohol get into your shot or any residue wet left. A sterile abscess can happen as well as bacteria or fungus.

I put some ice on my skin before to inject. If u r skin is cold ull not gonna feel the needle...and push da plunger super slow... dont rush...
