Anyone here a hockey fan? I lost a lot of interest after Vancouver humiliated Canada in 2011 with their un-sportsmanlike "fans" and riot, and then the 2012 lockout, but I can't help but root for Nashville right now. Just love a scrappy underdog story!! The city must be going bonkers right now!!!

GO PREDS!!

PS - don't tell me the score. I have to work on a research project tonight, but last time I checked in it was 0-all. Plenty of scoring opportunity but they can't get the puck in the damn net!!! FAWK! Home games are their best chances, too...

I become an avalanche fan because a buddy of mine had season tickets and he took to the infamous Red Wing/ avalanche "fight game". Hooked ever since........................I am with you, I was rooting for the underdogs, oh well.

I too was rooting for the Preds, but have always appreciated (maybe not liked all the time) teams from Pittsburgh as I used to work in a steel mill and like that blue collar thing that they are noted for.

Maybe next yr Nashville, you still have some great music there!

I am a HUGE hockey fan! Also a hockey player, though never went to college or played at any kind of pro level. I do play in a very competetive rsc league that has some former D-1 and minor league players in it as well as some up and comers, so to speak...

Boston is my favorite team, so I was happy to see Nashville beat Ottawa this year, since I was a little resentful at Ottawa for knocking Boston outta the running.

That said, I'll watch anyone play hockey and enjoy it. I was also rooting for N'ville too. I love that N'ville has become such a hockey town! The massive crowds OUTSIDE the arena watching the game on a screen... the massive pre-game parties... Apparently, most home games are sold out... Who'da thought the home of country music and big NASCAR fan base would also necome major hockey fans!? Pretty cool.

Haha! I will forever love Boston for putting Vancouver in its place back in the 2011 finals, and I was happy to see Ottawa taken out this year, too. Not a fan of either team lol.

It was super cool to see Nashville get so excited during their cup run! A friend was there and told me it reminded him of Calgary's Red Mile in 2004. Kind of crazy that a goal that was definitely IN didn't get counted in that last game, a lot like the way Calgary got ripped off in G6 in 2004. Nashville might have taken the Cup if they used tech instead of human eyes to make the call on that one. In the very least, that game would have played out a lot differently!

I haven't seen all of G6 yet... Just watched the 2nd period. WOW! What a game changing call, disallowing Smashville's goal early in the period!

Regardless of who wins, those guys are SO talented! There's a guy in one of the leagues I play in who was drafted in 2005 but ultimately didn't make it past camp. Didn't get placed on any of the minor league development teams, either. He stands out by far in our league... Imagine how talented guys like Crosby, Malkin, Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and others who are NHL standouts are! Fuckin mind boggling..... LOL!
