So after a very long time off from the gym and turning into a skinny fat whatever, I just completed a full 7 days back in the gym. Trained 6 days of those 7, zero carb for 5 days and only 2 days were 50 grams of carbs, 500mg of test Cyp, and some cardio in the mix. Was 215lbs day one first thing in the morning and now I'm 220lbs, and can tell quite a good change has happened already.

didn't get to train or do cardio yesterday as I my heart was in afib all day, its really frustrating. Going to try it today.

muscle memory is real. you know that already, but have you ever really experienced it before now?

I have, and I have to tell you, you’ll be right back up there way sooner than you think. I know thats what happened to me when I got skinny as fuck and took a year and half off.

Blew my mind how fast I was able to get back in great muscular shape after doing nothing for almost 2 years lol,

So make sure your older self thanks your younger self for all those years he/you grinded in the gym, day in and day out, cause not only can you get back into great shape super fast due to muscle memory, you can also train a whole lot lighter and smarter in your older years 30’s and 40’s and maintain a fantastic physique!

So I have no doubt you’ll be able to do it, the hard part is walking around the gym and everyone looking at you with that pondering question written all over their face: What happen to that guy? Does he have aids, lol, or, Damn, heroin got him to, lol, and my personal favorite, wonder how long he has to live, lmao. And yes its that bad, or was for me, and not cause I was that skinny or any smaller than anyone else, but because of how I previously looked and the insane difference in size. But to someone who never knew me prior, I promise you I didnt look like I had HIV or Femine ridden

So just get through that bullshit, and your fine man, and im sure your mind is all kinds of fucked up cause you were so fucking massive before, lol, I know I wouldnt want to stand next to you on stage lmao, maybe now I will though biatch....what! lol

And were you told to refrain from anything specific by doctors in terms of how to train again? Im sure I already know the doctors answer when it comes to getting back on gear lol, but I was curious whether you had any type of restrictions in the weight room?

Presser right, you really gotta leave the ego at the door, at my age, 57, my bigger, stronger yrs are behind me, I was lucky enough to start BB'ing at a young age and have competed many times, been on TV, been in local newspaper etc, now I havent competed in 4 yrs and am eager to get back at it, but like many here, I have some health issues, albeit non-life threathning, and just cant act like or do what I could 30 some yrs ago.

Muscle memory is no doubt real and comes back amazingly fast, I had 9 full wks off from spinal fusion 2 yrs ago and when I started lifting again (plus some gear), I swear it took maybe 6 wks and it was like I never laid off

Hang in the Bro, guarantee all will be OK

Well I haven't experienced any muscle memory still now, so it will be interesting to see how fast things do come back. It is a bit aggravating having to tell everyone at the gym what is going on, and getting over the weakness. But I'm pushing through it, and the doctors said I have no restrictions and even said that gear wasn't at fault for any of my issues. If anything it was from all the eating. High cholesterol. I also may have discovered that one of the supplements I am taking is causing me to go into afib, seems there is an ingredient in a fat burner that doesn't mix with one of my medication.

I have no doubt you'll be putting on a lot of size quickly. You were always a genetic wonder, bro, and if I remember correctly, you started out about 215-220 and just kept growing from there. Putting on 5 lbs in a week is something the rest of us wish we could do that easily. And now that you know what may have been the issue, you'll be able to work around it. Just be careful and don't be in too much of a hurry.

ok, so far so good on the afib, since I stopped taking the supplement. I started to add carbs today, I was just feeling wore down, and pumps were not happing. So I will start at 100 grams of carbs a day and see what happens. I guy today said he could see a big difference in my body today, and couldn't believe how quick I have improved already, so Ive been at it 11 days so far.

still no afib, so happy about that. carbs are about 75-100gram range right now, but can tell eating some brought me out of the run down feeling I was having. I plan on keep uping the carbs, been doing just oatmeal, but will throw in some potatoes. happy with the progress so far.

Good deal man. I've been cutting down the carbs lately on a couple meals a day & than loading up more carbs on the other meals. I feel great like that. Seems to make me less sluggish too

what exactly happens to you during AFIB

well it is an irregular heart beat and in my case makes the heart rate higher, this also means that my heart rate can go from 60 bpm to 90 bpm at resting and jump in that range within seconds so its a very uneasy feeling, and when I exercise it spikes and can even see it pounding on my chest through my shirt. Takes a long time for it to come back down. The main concern is having a stroke, and that is why I'm on blood thinners. Also I get dizzy just from standing up to fast, so I kinda move in slow motion. lol. Guess about the only plus with my heart rate spiking in afib, its like doing cardio, lol.

Glad you're back, and really glad you're already seeing results. Just listen to your body brutha. and you'll be good to go. As far as the diet and feeling drained, I have been going through that myself, because carbs have been at a very minimum. I'm 12 weeks out as of today. So I'm trying to kill it. I'm getting nervous that there's not enough time, but I guess we'll see. I had a grilled chicken sandwich today on a whole wheat bun with lettuce and tomato and a tablespoon of pollo tropical sauce, along with a banana and a diet dr pepper, and afterwards, I felt like a new man. Now I just ate a tablespoon of peanut butter on a slice of whole wheat bread and I think I'm actually ready for my back workout tonight. lol Point being, listen to your body. You'll be back to being freakishly huge again in no time.
