I've been using them a lot lately to go to sleep. Aside from becoming addicted to them, can they negativity affect my training???

good question i guess it would depend on what the pill was ya know, if it was say ambien i doubt it would effect your training but if u were taking say xanax or someshit then i would say theirs a chance it may effect ur training somehow

I take a sleeping pill every night, i use to lay in bed for an hour or so and not fall asleep now i take my pill and im litterlay asleep within minutes, my doctor prescribed me something called Trazadone, i dont think its a conventional sleeping pill i think its some psycotic, lol, that just so happens to have a side effect that makes u tired so my doctor prescribes me low doses of this giant horse pill and it knocks me out right away and i do not believe it has effected my training at all

okay... cool. Thanks press. Im just taking an otc pill like somunex. I try not to take them, but when its like 5am, daylight i need something.

I alternate trazadone (which I love) and ambien. I also take valium. I've taken all of them for years and haven't had any adverse effects. I also take Celexa. I'm a walking pharmacological cocktail.

I'm using Ambien myself. I used to be able to take otc stuff like Tylenol PM years ago, but they stopped working, and I hated being groggy in the morning. My doc has me combining 3mg of melatonin with the ambien, and it seems to be helping my internal clock reset. I sleep better with the ambien and melatonin, and then wake up without any grogginess. If anything, since I'm sleeping better, it has been helping me recover from my training better.

I plan on also picking up some melatonin. That alone works, but i had to take 2x the req. dose.

Yea you have to find the right mix for you, its trial and error. Used to be ambien but then it all the sudden stoped working--I could take 15 pills and still lie awake, albiet higher than a kite. Now I do 3mg melatonin and 2mg klonopin. It's absolutely perfect for me. No groggy feelings, no high-like sedation - I just fall asleep

What kind of doctor prescribes this stuff anyway? Can I just go to my regular doctor and say "hey dude, I can't sleep!" ?

I've been up til like 3-4am every night this week... Unisom works but only if I take 4 of them, but it takes like an hour to kick in and it doesn't really work unless I make myself lay down. If I'm online or doing stuff, it doesn't really hit me. Not to mention, I have to have like a minimum of 8 hours to sleep (12+ is better for me though) because I feel hungover when I wake up.

I had to stop taking Nyquil because it stopped being effective. I def think I need something stronger!

Good, I like my doctor... been wanting to go to him to get a referral for something else anyway, so that works out. Just gotta get un-lazy enough to make the appointment and actually GO! Thanks, P!

oh yeah... i've been having a drink pretty much every night as well. That and getting high.... Im just a wreck right now.

Unless he/she is like my doctor and makes you do a sleep study. At least I only had to do the simple at home one where they put a little oxygen monitor on your finger.

I cant stand being high, dont know how u guys do it ,lol. makes me a worry wart

Try getting pulled over while you and the person you're with is high... OR "getting stopped" after you're followed home and already pulled into the driveway. Yeah, that about worrying... :nope:

The trick to being high is to keep your mind occupied. Otherwise, you will focus on the things your trying to forget.

I can't wait to get high come Olympia time. Been years since I rolled...think I'll give it another whirl :D

No stupid raver lights thoguh
