The Olympia Weekend is proud to announce the 2017 Amateur Olympia in Las Vegas

The Olympia Weekend is proud to announce the 2017 Amateur Olympia in Las Vegas. This is the first time that the Amateur Olympia series will be held in the USA. The Amateur Olympia will be open to National Physique Committee (NPC) and IFBB registered competitors from across North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean . The event is scheduled to take place at the Orleans Hotel and Casino – Showroom on Thursday, September 14th with check in taking place all day on Wednesday, September 13th. The Amateur Olympia will consist of the following categories and will award 2 Pro cards for each overall division for a total of 8 Pro cards.

• Bikini
• Open Bodybuilding
• Classic Bodybuilding / Physique
• Men’s Physique

Registration will be open to all these categories shortly. More information coming soon.

Curious to know the number or percentage of people who get their procard, and then disapear. They sure do give away a good bit of pro cards across the board, not just bodybuilding, and you never hear from most again. Where did they go.

This is the way I think of it Presser because I'm in the chase for a card also. It's been my goal since starting because well a goal is something everyone should have. If I get it then I really don't know where I will go next. There's no Masters division in the big show so the outlook isn't the best at the next level. I will just be happy if I'm able to achieve my goal and maybe do a pro show here or there. It would be a lot different if I was in my early 20s because then I would probably chase a bit harder or stack on the weight and move over to bodybuilding.
