ml syringe differences

okay, got my igf in and decided i'd give it a go. so i break out my 1ml syringe with needle. i try to draw up 0.02 ml for 2mcg. needless to say this has become an experience, due to the fact that the needle is a removable luer lock one. thus, i have more in the tip of the syringe than 2 mcg, before i even get it in the barrel. the first pin i may have got somewhere close to the desired dose. put it in front right delt. day two, i still had a time with it, and think i ended up closer to 5 mcg, which i pinned in the upper right pec, near the delt. still got a little pip from it and it feels dense. yesterday i got closer to the two mcg and pinned it in the abs. no pip or problems that way.

so i decided to take a closer look at different 1 ml syringes and it appears that the fixed needle one would definitely be more appropriate to use for such a small dose. from what i could see on the net of them, the needle goes straight to the barrel. the amount that would be in the pin would be minute then. i order 1/2 ml syringe with the fixed needle, since i'll be administering minute amounts. at least with the 30 ga needle, blunting on the vial silicone won't feel so bad when i pin it. lol

i thought i'd pass this on, since i have not seen a thread posing this problem for anyone. also, the nipro brand pins have a larger bore than other pins. so even though the outside diameter of the pin is the same, the inside is larger.

got my 0.5 cc slin pins. so much easier to measure small amounts. 0.2 ml (2 mcg) is right darn close to that.
