Aas & Gh Not A Good Combo?

I myself have been doing some research on IGF and I found a interesting bit of information out about the use of AAS with GH.

*Growth hormone increases IGF-I and IGFBP-3 (Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein). The study covered the combined effects of GH and anabolic androgenic steroids on IGFBP-3 and IGF-I levels

*9 power athletes using AAS-GH were researched
-in 5of the 6 periods (cycles) AAS-GH together decreased their IGFBP-3

-But the study also showed that IGF-I levels remained elevated in four out of 6 testing periods for all of the participants

Using AAS simutaneously with GH decreases both the normal and GH-stimulated IGFBP-3 levels.....

((((The IGFBP-3 levels are vital, where as they carry the IGF-1 to the muscle cells and enhances the effects that it has on the muscle)))))

but the effects that AAS & GH have on IGF-1 are varying and no valid claims have been made

I've been trying to research the effects that AAS has on IGF levels while they are being boosted by IGF synthetic compounds initially instead of the GH stimulated rise of IGF levels....anyone got any info?

yes thats what i thought, but when i read that the -3 binding protien help carry igf1 I started to look more into the -3 binding protein and it is actually supposed to enhance the muscle building effects......hey bigger....by all means im still trying to get this whole growth shit together so if you got some knowledge to this matter definately bring it forward.....im curious as hell about this question!!!!!

yeah, I don't quite understand it fully either...it's been awhile since I've looked into the whole IGF thing. Let me see if I can dig up anything.

I'm sure it depends on the actual function of the -3 binding protein. Most binding proteins keep the molecule in question that they are bound to from being available for the body to use. For example, the binding protein that attaches onto testosterone keeps it from being available to make the muscles grow, so normally only a small percentage is 'free' to be used for muscle growth.

If the IGFBP-3 binding protein's function is in fact to carry IGF across cell membranes so it can be utilized, then it is a good thing to have and decreasing it would be bad.

Some hypothesizing in the case of IGF being boosted as Bignick asked...if AAS usage decreases this binding protein, then that may explain why IGF hasn't been working for some individuals. Their hormone levels are much higher than the normal range so one reaction by the body may be to decrease the -3 binding protein. In my own case, my hormone is being replaced so my testosterone levels are probably just on the high side of the bell curve--enough to keep me growing, but not enough to shut down what I produce normally (which isn't much). Also, IGF has been working extremely well for me, almost as if I had been deficient. Perhaps because my hormone levels are nowhere near the high levels regular AAS users have, I don't have the same reduction in the -3 binding protein.

When you find out more from researching please let us all know. This is all very interesting. Maybe we should start a poll and ask members if they got results from IGF, and if they did, were they better off a cycle of AAS or on.

hey, i just turned 16 and im currently cycling 1-4 andro, and wanted to noe if takin igf would be a bad thing?
talk to me people

You shouldn't be taking hormones bro...you're only 16 and could potentially screw up your natural hormone production which is at it's highest. Good diet, training, and rest is all you need. Research those before taking anything...

You might not want to here that but BiggerStronger is right, I got into the game early as well, but you don't want to take the road ive taken bro...TRUST ME! I know alot more now than most guys will in their whole life.....I have to admit....bros here are alot more knowledgeable than me, but they will all agree that IGF is not the answer...well neither is anabolic steroids or anyother compound for that matter. I know its not what you wanna here but man i am telling you it will fuck you up. You honestly right now have enough testosterone production to compare to a guy who is 45 and cycling steroids....sorta.....just an example..... but turning to steroids for faster growth is not the answer and can be harmful in too many ways

if he is 16 we have to block his ip address from viwining this site no way can a 16 yr old be signed up here, it is in our registration that u must be 18 yrs of age

my nephew would like to know what happens with your hormones and such when you take "prohormones and igf" at such a young age.... one of you moderators booted my account which id like back >:-(

jus think of when you were younger lifting..... i alwayswas thinking about doing aas but i heard too many horror stories... know what i mean... some ppl cant be changed

what im sayin bro is im not 16.... catch the drift or do i have to count the years its been scince ive been that age fuckin lil girls in the boys bathroom at highschool. ;-)

lol is the soap opera over? lol... eeeaasy killer... I needed that...now on to more important things............

nicely put Ip, has anyone ran a IGF only cycle? AND...it would be great if anyone has done both a stack and IGF alone to see what the contrast in gains was.....anyone?
