IGF & Tick illnesses

So I have a couple questions here and wondering if anyone has had an personal experience in this area...

I have used IGF before a few times with great results in the gym along with great results in repairing bursitis of the elbow from lifting.
I have not used IGF in a couple years now and recently picked up a bacteria from a tick... Testing is still in process to figure out which one since there are roughly 11 bacteria's.. Anyway I have the entire list of complaints from bad aches and pains from head to toe along with numbness/pins and needles in my hands, very foggy feeling with some short term memory loss, fatigue, moodiness etc.... I read something online that IGF helps to boost immune system and its a great way to help assist in recovering. now, i know no one can actually tell me definitively this will work, but just wondering if there is an first hand experience out there with this. Thanks for reading this and hope to hear some good things....

honestly, I would wait until your tests come back conclusive for what you have and you are properly treated by your medical professional.

Agreed... I'm always up for "treating things" but with your list of aliments I would wait on the feedback of a licensed professional.

Yeah let us know what he says bro! Hopefully the dr can straighten ya out with this

my boss came to work looked drunk didn't know where he was next day he died ,8 months latter found out the cause was lyme disease caused from a tick .

started on days off we had 5 but we have no ticks in northern Manitoba Canada he was down south weeks ago and got it there so a month or more I would say was very stange how a tick affected the brain like that and nothing could save him but at a earlier start would of helped if I had a problem with a tick I would be tested for lyme disease and have someone monitor you if you have memory loss of look to be drunk its in the brain already ,well in his case ,just wanted to share that info....thanks

Update - I went to a LLD (lyme literate dr in Hyde park New York) how is amazing. My visit was 4 hours! Took roughly 22 vials of blood, EKG , long interview about my symptoms and discussed tick borne illnesses. I left there reassured he is the man to see! I am taking multiple herbs and supplements to help detox and boost immune and keep my gut strong. I am also currently on 3-4 strong antibiotics (septra, Zithromax , coartem, malarone and nystatin. Blood work is starting to come back now and shows positive western blot results for lyme. I am awaiting results still in co-infection results. This is because ticks can pass more than lyme to you know these days.... I am also on a yeast free, sugar free, dairy free diet. This along with herbs are to help keep inflammation down. I didn't bring up igf in my first visit but will mention it casually to see what they say.... Bottom line is avoid ticks when you can and always do tick checks! If you do get a tick or get sick from what you think is lyme go see the right dr as most do not test correctly and you will get false results! You will also need correct treatment which goes outside the IDSA guidelines.

glad you got a good doctor bro! I just seen a story on the news where a guy was diagnosed with ALS for a long time before finally seeing a good doctor who recognized it was Lyme disease, so glad your good to go now brutha

I hope I helped you with my story seems like I did...hope you have a full recovery bud............

update - getting some good results from meds and started bicillin injections last week. (1.5" fat ass needle. The bicillin is like a white paste. ITs a hard injection that has to go slow... 3 times per week for 3 months along with my other orals antibiotics and immune and detox supplements.

I really think IGF will help Lyme patients due to its anti inflammatory capabilities along with cell repair. I see him again soon and will have a serious talk to him about IGF. He may not be into the Idea, but I am going to go prepared with documentation and evidence based research on this. If any of you have any good pages I should print out and bring with me tell me.... I think he has has heard of it and Is a pretty progressive alternative new med type of doctor. Who knows it could really help me and others with Chronic Lyme with co-infections... Does anyone know of any drug interactions to be aware of with IGF?

I am also taking a controversial drug called LDN which helps people with lots of auto immune problems and it increases endorphin's and reduces inflammation...
here is some info on it.... Low-Dose Naltrexone: The Benefits of This Prescription Drug

SO I guess they official diagnosed you with lyme disease.

Yes my bloodwork was sent out to a lab in Cali. Igenix labs. I tested positive for later stage Lyme as well as a co infection of babesia.

At this point, it's a roller coaster ride with lots of ups and downs each day.
Watch out for those ticks, they carry all sorts of parasites....

How's it going brutha?

I'm hangin in there. Still on my meds and doing my shots 3 times per week. They do seem to be helping.
I see my doc on oct 4th again so we will see where we go from here. I'm ready to be over this crap at this point but its a annoying battle. I am going to try to get back into the gym very soon and see how I do. I need to push some weight around! Thanks for checking in. I will stay in touch and let you know how it's going.
