Does IGF Application Site Matter for Injury Rehab Purposes?

So I partially tore my bicep distally on the inside of my elbow 9 days ago. Everyone I've spoken with about it says basically I'm going to have a small deformity but surgery will not be needed. I curled 5 pounds today with no pain and the only time I feel the arm and have any amount of pain is when I use fast twitch muscles in the arm, like a reflex action. But I feel 300% better than I did last friday. The rehab at my friend clinic is awesome.

So my original question, since the consensus is I don't need surgery is, does application site matter? Can you apply in the forearm, bicep and delt and have the same effect on rehabbing the bicep? Should I only apply in the bicep?

Thanks for the help.

IDK if the injury matters... but u can apply IGF1 to any muscle group. I'll bump 4 the expert opinions tho.

I have been using it for an injured Distal Bicep Tendon with some noticeable help buddy. Bicep and Forearm application. Just be care not to apply too close to a vein.

And, if you'll notice my wording on how to use the IGF...."Apply". Just thought you'd notice the change to your thread and follow suit... ;)

i would and i have used it as close to the injured area as possible! It made a world of difference for my quad nerve damage when i used the igf in the flaccid muscle, i know its a different scenario/injury ect but i would most certainly use it as close to the injury as you can get brutha! It will 110% help with the injury and healing regardless of where you apply the igf, however through my personal experience i have to say i would recommend applying it as close to the injury as you can get!

I don't usually sight apply but when I do it's to the muscle right above my elbow I think it's the extensor carpus radialus longus. Anyway it doesn't hurt anymore.:p But wow that AA burns holy shitballs. Hey that sounds like that beer commercial. Presser you should make some shirts that say....

I don't usually site apply, but when I do, I use MC IGF.
HAHAH! I'm back! :D

I forget where I read the research, but it showed that since IGF1 itself is active when applied, it binds preferentially to the damaged tissue closest to where it is applied and then what is left moves on.
I should've saved the article, but it only serves to reinforce what I've always experienced

That's why I basically apply it anywhere that hurts. That is also what I read. If cells need the igf they will take it. You can't make the muscle take it up. It has to be beat up or damaged and need it for site application to work 100%. If you are shooting it in the muscle preworkout I really don't think you are doing any good. Post workout in the muscles that have just been trashed makes more sense from what I've read. But I can't take it preworkout anyway since it makes me tired. I do it postworkout after I eat.

I like this thread, ha

its answering a lot of questions I've had lingering on about Igf on site.. lots of controversy on this subject typically but the theory behind all these statements make the most sense imo
