Semax is a drug produced and prescribed mostly in Russia and Ukraine for a broad range of conditions but predominantly for its purported nootropic, neuroprotective, and neurogenic/neurorestorative properties. It is a heptapeptide, synthetic analog of a fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH), ACTH (4-10), of the following structure: Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro. Semax has not been evaluated by the U.S.FDA. It is unscheduled in the U.S. and legal to import by private citizens for personal use.[SUP][1][/SUP]
Semax has undergone extensive study in Russia and is on the Russian List of Vital & Essential Drugs approved by the Russian Federation government on December 7, 2011.[SUP][2][/SUP] Medical uses for Semax include treatment of stroke, transient ischemic attack, memory and cognitive disorders,peptic ulcers, optic nerve disease, and to boost the immune system.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP]
In animals, Semax rapidly elevates the levels and expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and its signaling receptor TrkB in the hippocampus,[SUP][6][/SUP] and rapidly activates serotonergic and dopaminergic brain systems.[SUP][7][/SUP][SUP][8][/SUP] In accordance, it has been found to produce antidepressant-like and anxiolytic-like effects,[SUP][9][/SUP][SUP][10][/SUP] attenuate the behavioral effects of exposure to chronic stress,[SUP][9][/SUP][SUP][10][/SUP] and potentiate the locomotor activity produced by <small style="font-size: 11.9px;">D</small>-amphetamine.[SUP][8][/SUP][SUP][11][/SUP] As such, it has been suggested that Semax may be effective in the treatment of depression,[SUP][12][/SUP] as well as inattention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).[SUP][13]

Very interesting...What does your friend like about it?
 
Takes his anxiety down. Helps him with bad habit reduction he says and is an overall motivation increaser. Also he notes that it gives him a slight buzz or "body high" , if you will. All anecdotal though really.

I was doing a lot of research on this lately I had a question for. To help with energy at all or making it easier to conversate with people? Im a Barber by trade and have to talk to people all day so I was looking for something that might help and this seems like the best bet because I also have a little problem with anxiety.

Yes I believe it is mainly marketed for relief of anxiety, social anxiety, depression and addiction.
 
I like semax. I haven't used it in a year or so. You aware of a supplier cheaper than ceretropic? I'd add it back in if there's a good deal out there somewhere.
 
Ceretropic is the cheapest ive found,is was going to give them a shot..

The only version I've tried is subq, so make sure you got some bac water if you're going that route.

Hell I might actually try the nasal sprays, now that I think about it. I'm already doing 2-3 pokes a day as it is.

Lol, I was thinking the exact same thing my stomach is starting to get sore as it is.. I see they have sublingual to. Do you think these will be as effective as Sub-Q?

I doubt it. The owner from ceretropic posts on reddit all the time, and he uses it subq. The plus side is that it's 100% painless.

That being said, I've read plenty of good feedback on the nasal sprays.

Yeah, plus the nasal spray is already reconstituted. They DO ship with cold packs apparently... But it's summer... The longer it's in transit and/or cooks in your mailbox, the more likely it is to degrade. I would think it almost a necessity to spring for expedited shipping.

At least with the subq version, it comes as dry powder in a vial, so you reconstitute and stick in the fridge. No harm done. See, I just talked myself out of the nasal spray.

Sounds good to me! Selank is another Russian peptide that is geared more towards relieving anxiety, while acting as a nootropic. I never tried that one, but am interested.

Yes I was doing some reading and I believe what I read said that selax was derived from selank, but I don't believe that's the link is as potent when it comes to anxiety and things like that I'm going to do some more reading about something and I will get back to you about that..
