I am 24 years old , weighing 175 lbs at around 16-18% bodyfat . Recently i got my bloodwork done and my T3 levels were borderline low at 85 ng/dl, so my trainer suggested i start taking 100mcgs of Cytomel daily in the morning before breakfast to kickstart my metabolism and also burn some fat in the process
He also asked me to stop cold turkey without tapering down and said the thyroid would surely recover on its own

I started this today but my hands were shaking an hour after taking it , Its been 6 hours as i write this post since i took the first 100mcgs of T3 and now i feel fine

Is this a good way to go about it ? and how long will it take for me to get adjusted to the drug and not have shaking or mild headaches ? Also i feel my hunger is out of control, is that normal ?

If you only took one, you should be fine to just stop. Also, stop listening to that trainer. Get back to the doctor to find out what's really going on.

Thanks a lot , i wont stop , so i ll just go down to 50mcgs now and stay there for a couple of weeks and then taperd down and stop

IMHO your trainer advice is negligent, period. If your numbers are borderline you need to find out why before jumping on anything. This is coming from a guy who uses I3 on occasion. Fast and simple bro have your doctor make sure there is no underline cause before you mask any symptoms by supplementing. THEN you must taper up slowly

T3 Dosage for males using an 8 week diamond taper up/down:

25mcgs in the am per day for 7 days (week 1)
50mcgs (25mcgs when u wake up, 25mcgs 4hrs later) per day for 7 days (week 2)
75mcgs (50mcgs when u wake up, 25mcgs 4hrs later) per day for 7 days (week 3)
100mcgs (50mcgs when u wake up, 50mcgs 4hrs later) per day for 14days (weeks 4/5)
75mcgs (repeat week 3)
50mcgs (repeat week 2)

YOU MUST TAPER DOWN!!! OR YOU RISK PERMANENTLY DAMAGING YOUR THYROID!!

I am glad you came here to ask. There is more information if you do a search but be careful. Welcome to MuscleChemistry.com

Thanks man
I already dropped down to 50mcg after my 1st pill of 100mcg
I think i ll stay here for a couple of weeks as i dont want to up my dose anymore and then taper down to 25 and then stop

Thanks man
Ya , i ll keep an eye out for him

And also , is there anything i can do(not like taking steroids)to prevent LBM loss with the use of T3 ?
That's a great question! Not asked enough when starting something like this. Most importantly keep your protein and calories high enoughand drink a lot of water. Taking fat off while preserving muscle mass is a marathon not a sprint. Take it slow, let the process work. Other suggestions would be basic supplements like whey protein powder, multivitamin supplements. Not training on an empty stomach. I like MC IGF-1 for its nutrient shuttling and fat burning properties as well. I don't know if it's right for you but that's me.
Biggest thing don't starve yourself. Always keep the nutrients on hand your body needs.

This is my diet
7 30 am : 1 scoop whey + 1 banana
8 30 workout
10 30 whey 1 scoop
1 : 300 gms white rice + 150 gms chicken
4 : whey protein and milk
7 : 300 gms white rice and 150 gms chicken
9 : 2 whole eggs and 2 egg whites

Is this a good diet to go about with 50mcg of t3 or should i be adding anything more ?

While it is definitely more expensive, I would prefer to do the T4 Route instead of T3. The body converts T4 to T3 automatically and I prefer to let the body do its magic whenever possible rather than give it the end result, you never know what else is going on behind the scenes when the body does what it does.

T4 converts to T3 on a four-to-one ratio, this means you only get 25% of T3 out of your T4. The body normally makes 25 MCG of T3 per day through converting T4. This means you need 100 MCG of T4 a day to have your body at its normal 25 MCG of T3 and 200mcg of T4 to get 50mcg of T3.

Would that provide the same results as using t3 ?

It would, yes. There are studies that show using T4 with growth hormone provides better results than using T3 or neither of them. Outside of the use of growth hormone I'm not sure of any other benefit it might provide

How are you doing with all this bro? Where are you with your goals

The body only creates 25 MCG a day...the trainer said to take 4 times normal! Go with 5omvgs and feelet better.

He is right, the pituitary gland picks back up several days after you stop regardless of the amount you were taking.
