Donate Blood/Therapeutic Phlebotomy
Hey guys, wanted to share my experience a little on what I know from top of my head from my past research.
First let's talk about blood. When we do a complete blood count we get measured amounts of blood per area of volume. Red blood is the main one I will talk about and I will only be vague. Heme is a part of red blood gives it color and ability to hold iron and carry oxygen.
We have hemoglobin it contains most of our body's iron with rest of iron stored up in some organs. The more hemoglobin we have to better we get oxygen to cells and we are obviously not short on iron or iron poor blood. Normal ranges for men are around 13.5-17.0 at most labs.
Hematocrit is the % of red blood the ratio to all other blood. Normal levels are normally 45% for men.
Now it's good to have red blood it prevents anemia's and more of it can help us to breathe more oxygen carrying capacity, better cardio and endurance. But at same time thick blood, harder for heart to pump. Getting dehydrated can give a stroke or heart attack highly at risk.
So let's talk about steroids. All of anabolic steroids will cause some stimulation of red blood production some more than others. Eq, Anadrol more than any other in my opinion. So if using anabolic steroids it's important for us to donate blood or get therapeutic phlebotomy if we can.
There are shortages of blood and having any steroids in our systems lieing to donate is a personal choice I will not give my opinion. But if someone needs blood for life or death as long as it doesn't have disease beggars can't be choosers. I also know that u can't go in there and say u use needles to pin your gear.....
My advice is to donate before cycle and after. If u wanna do it more like every 8 weeks that's up to u. I wanna live and if it can save someone then great!!!
I myself am on trt been on it almost 4 year's. I have had High red blood for some time. I no longer use eq never used drol and won't now for sure. I get an order to have therapeutic phlebotomy as often as every 3 weeks or as needed. At first for 4 months I was able to go as much as possible as needed to bring down 19.9 hemoglobin.
Then it change to 3 weeks and can bring it down as low as 13.0. Longest I ever went in 3.5 years was 7 weeks once. I can bring it down to under 13 from drawing at 13. But I have time to time and go alot at 3 weeks knock it down then I can go 5-6 weeks for a bit. Went to trt appointment in mid Jan CBC said I had 16.9. I went 3 weeks ago do phlebotomy and I was at 19 hemoglobin. I went again yesterday which was exactly 24 days hemo was at 15.9. I did phlebotomy will check again in 3 weeks.
Symptoms I have gotten over years when high. Higher bp, joint and tendon pain. Irritable, pressure in body, huge pumps working out but scary at same time. Endurance good but head aches and ringing in ears. I have kids that love me very much and me them. I have a wife and family that depends on me. I wanna live and be safe for my family. I still get high red blood on 100 mg week trt dose. I had it before getting on trt and had to bring it down before and hadn't juiced in 8 months. I never had this in my younger days. I am 40 and been using gear cycling on and off for 20 years counting my trt blast and cruise I do now. I can tell u that low dose deca under 400 is ok but above no. Eq at 200 stimulates way too much. Dbol low dose no problem, anavar stimulates it, testosterone under 750 not so bad for me. Tren not so much but can't handle more than 75 acetate eod. We all respond different!!!
Let's be safe and remember we all respond different!!!
There are many factors that cause red blood production associated with anabolic steroids. Hepicidin and iron absorbing or with holding for example.
