another show in 2 weeks.i feel i kinda got duked on my show,so i will do another in 2 weeks.droped a ton of weight when droping my water.so i want to be a little fuller w/more carbs as well this time.i got 4th this past sat.
i ate like hell on sun.made the decesion to do the show on sun night.went back to diet mon.hoping to be 3 pounds heavier.

Remember, if you end up flat it is not USUALLY that you didn't carb up enough. It was because you limited or restricted your water too much. Just trying to help out, bro.

Good job!
I just took 3rd middleweights in my show and also have another in 2 weeks.
Skip is right on the $ with the water comment, I cut my water out and felt like I could have been fuller in pre-judging, had about 16 oz water before the night show and came in way tighter. Next time I will put down at least 8oz about 30 min before pre-judge.
 
way to go Woody. Congrats on what you have accomplished, and good luck with the next show. I could never do something like that.
 
well guys,i thought long and hard about the results of sat. show and was undecided until i saw the pics.i'm going to start bulking and try to put on 10-15 lbs of lean mass.then hit it again next spring.
i wonder about that water deal.i hadn't had nothing to drink in 24 hr. prior to showing.maybe i'll drink 6 oz. 30 min before next time.i have to wait to see the pics of the night show compared to the day.i still have some film left to shoot. i got pics as well.i just got to figure out how to get them to u.al,think u can help me out on this ?

It just depends on how flat you are. 6 oz. of water probably won't be enough to even notice if you are truly flat.

Always pay attention immediately after a show as you should be drinking something like gatorade the second you step off of that stage at the night show. As you drink 1 quart, take a look at your condition after about 15 minutes. Do this 3-4 times before eating anything (usually it takes an hour before you actually get to a restaurant, get seated and get your order anyway) and note the changes in your condition. This will be invaluable for future reference to tell whether you were too flat and how much water it really takes to fill you out.

Try a carbo force about 15 minutes before hitting the stage, too. It will work wonders for both carbs and fluid. Add salt to it for an extra kick of vascularity.

Congrats on your finish, kidrok. Go over your prep for this show and tweak what needs to be tweaked. You will almost always come in tighter and drier in the following show when you compete back to back like you are doing.

Good luck and make sure you post how the second show goes, also.
