Ok Gentleman and ladies I am six weeks out and am using a 3 days low carb (approx. 50 grams) and then one day high carb of 180 grams. The only fat that I am consuming is in the chicken breast and it is minimal. Should I use flaxseed oil? If so why and how much, and when should I stop using it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

good for metabolism, good for energy! Gives you your required omega-3 fatty acids, too!

What is the main purpose for taking it ? Does it have any negative characteristics ( bad fats?). How long before the show should I stop taking it ? Thanks for all the input!

Flax is just nasty stuff

I was also taking flax but came to the conclusion that life was too short for me to be taking this nasty stuff twice a day when there were alternatives that could accomplish the same, or nearly the same thing. I am now enjoying my 2 TBS of Newmans Own Olive Oil and Vinegar dressing so much more than that nasty flax and the Newmans helps the salad greens or tuna go down and actually have a good taste. :)

Yes flaxseed oil is not good tasting and the after taste well it just sucks but after 4 months of tuna out of the can, tuna sucks I am plain misirable and that means I am doing it right.... But on a lighter note my daughter was looking for attention this morning she is seven and was saying her leg was hurting for no reason so me being the understanding father that I am I told her I could give her some of my bodybuilding stuff and she would be fine. So one extra large tablespoon of flaxseed oil and heck I havent heard a word about the leg since. HAAAAAAAAAAAAA Her expression "PRICELESS" that was a one time deal because she will never fall for it again. I have been telling my wife how good tasting it is so that she might try it but she keeps saying she will later, I don't want to push it because then she will know it sucks.

I have found that if you get organic, cold pressed flax oil it tastes like almonds. Barleans makes a good one to me. I found that other flax oils like from GNC taste like shit.

Yeah, I used to organic cold pressed, and it's not bad at all. I put it in my oatmeal, and have no problem licking the spoon clean!

It also comes in gel caps... which is what I use... never known the dubious pleasure of its taste!

The problem with the gell caps is how many you have to take, and how expensive it gets. I think 1tb is about 14g... and I take 2tb or so a day
