Number of movements for smaller muscle

What do you guys think is a good number of exercises for smaller muscle groups like bi and tri? Normally i'll do three movements, 4 sets at 8 reps. Sometimes doesn't feel like i'm working it as hard but i'm worried about over training cause of the smaller muscle group. Now like chest I usually do like 4-5 movements at 4 sets 8 reps.

I barely train bies and they grow tries on the otherhand i focus alot more on... but to answer your question 3-4 exercises 3-4 sets each is ample... in saying that if your doing bies a total of 12 sets and feeling like ur not working them enough then ur intensity may not be high enough... i can do a total of 6 sets with one drop set on bies and im fked afterwards.. i highly doubt u will over train ur muscles by adding another exercise to your routine. But u may benifit better from more intensity

Intensity is good i think just sometimes i feel i have more and want to keep going lol. Im on cycle now so should be pretty hard to overtrain anyways

for smaller muscles , 3-4 exercises is plenty, and No matter the muscle, big or small, i always train every single set til failure, always have and always will! I never count repetitions, i only count sets! In my opinion going to failure is the only way to go!

However for newbies to weight lifting scene, i do think counting reps per set can be beneficial, and logging it each week. But once you get to a certain point I like to call the "Presser-i-pice" then failure is is going to take you to a whole new level

Never a fan of planing or being worried about sets/reps/lbs used with any muscle group. However what works for me is 12 total sets for back,9 sets for chest, 6 set for shoulders (I only work front and side delts on shoulder days..rear delts trained with back), 6 sets with bies and same for tries, quads get 15 max, hams get 9 max and calfs are by feel week to week.

lol, yeah thats a great feeling when your cycle has ya feeling like you can train for ever without over training, though thats usually when over training occurs the most
