What are some of cholesterol medication that you know of or used to change the LDL/HDL ratio, meaning increase "good" cholesterol and limit the "bad"

Both alcohol and niacin have been shown--repeatedly--to raise HDL. My cholesterol levels are fucked too (though my totals are within range). Since I can't drink a glass of red wine a day (I end up drinking the bottle…and then another), I’ve gone on to take a gram of niacin a day, starting about 10 days ago. Make sure to stay away from the timed-released formulas. Eventually, I’ll try to bump up to two grams/day. I’ll be able to report back here in about 8 weeks once I get blood taken again.

I was involved in a experimental study for a cholesterol drug. My cholesterol was like 280. NOW i never planned on taking their meds and be used like a guiena pig. I just wanted the free blood tests. I also had to sign a contract. In this contract it stated you would not take Flax seed oil in any manner. Well I did and in two weeks my cholesterol went from 280 to 180 and they threw me out of the study. I got the blood work results to prove it.

LOL are kidding me? Flaxseed oil? Man, I never knew that could help to that degree. But my levels would have to be that jacked up for me to consider drinking that shit. To this day the only thing worst that the taste of flax seed oil is sweaty, uncleaned, unshaved vagina
