Doomsday preppers

I just saw this show the other night and i thought it was pretty cool. I know i have some ammo and meds saved up just in case of economic collapse or civil unrest.
Some of the people on the show have underground bunkers and the whole works. Just wondering if anyone here is also preparing for shit hitting the fan??

I have a years supply of food my me and the wife. I have the ability to hunt and fish in my area and I can filter all the water I need. I have lots of guns, plenty of ammo and I know how to use them.

Prepping is something everyone should do. Its irresponsible not to.

I feel like maybe i need to step my prepping game up a bit after seeing some of this. What kind of food are you mainly stockpiling? I know a lot of ppl use MRE's. I was thinking canned goods and maybe some dried veggies too

I have all kinds of shelf stable food. I have rice, dry beans, can food, mre's ect. I have cases of water I rotate and the ability to filter water. Like I said I have fresh water lakes in my area less than 100 yards from the house so I have a water source that I can also fish from. I also have wild hogs I can hunt and eat for food. Florida has TONS of wild birds I can shoot for food, squirrels are a plenty also just as a last resort.

IMHO my supplies will get me through any rough times potentially ahead of us. I have plenty of weapons but a heavily armed group of more than 10 people I will not be able to stop. Just being realistic. I do however have really good neighbors that are also good people and they also happen to own guns. So a neighborhood watch group could possible fend off any large groups of attackers.

All plans are out the window come shtf time.

LOL Its crazy to see a thread like this on here but i like it. I started reading up on "doomsday" about a year ago and started preparing a little here and there. theres a forum community called www.silentcountry.com that is dedicated to preparation for doomsday. its pretty interesting stuff. My parents live on a lot of land out in the country so if things every do get that bad my family and I will head out there. There is plenty to live off of out there for months! Its definite something everyone should consider.

We have talked about this on numerous occasions. Silk and I will probably just give you some money for rice and beans for us since your place will probably where we will go. My vehicle will be LOADED with guns, ballistic vests, ammo, and more things than most on here can even imagine. I've got OC blasters, ballistic shields, thousands of rounds for numerous weapons and access to countless more.

you might think that a few guns and MREs will cut it but you have no idea...

first thing you need to do is make a GOOD pack (Get Out Of Dodge) anyone will tell you that if you live in or close to a heavly populated area you need to leave ASAP...look at what happened in hurricane Katrinia

now imagine that on a larger scale-every major city in the US and there will not be order restorted there is no calvery coming over the hilltop to save you...

what are you going to do???

I know for myself and CH3NO2 we are preparing for an inevitable collapse, not some prediction or specific date. In my eyes Govt has far exceeded its boundaries, our economy is not salvageable and civil unrest and mass rioting will occur once enough of the population realizes what is going on. The govt is spending and giving away money as well as making promises for future compensation when the money simply is not there. Our economy is literally teetering on collapse.
Fortunately the masses take what they hear on the news as fact as opposed to doing five minutes of actual research and simple math.
In my mind the only uncertainty is how bad it will be and how long it will last.

They have a show called like doomsday bunkers or somthing. i set it to record last night. I have weapons and a water well and lake at my house, but really could use a better food storage. but id probably go to my families land lots of heavy equip, natural gas well, concrete buildings, generators ect... we could have a defenable compound in about a half a day.

Lol.. I'm heading to the lady that cooks the 20lb bowls of potato salad and whole pigs and has all the friends over. Show kills me. I love how peoples bunkers are hours away and should be no trouble getting there during a hell razing event..
