    Depends what your goals are and why you want to use it. I have been using ECA an hour before working out for 15 years now for great workout intensity. I just take 12 mg's of E, a cup of coffee and half an aspirin. Now if you want to use it for bunring fat, thats another story...perhaps 12-25 mg...

    Time of day to lift

    IMO, I think the time of day when one works out is not of utmost importance at all. As long as you bust ass while you are there...thats all that counts. I work shift work...have worked out as early as 5 am, mid day at 3 pm and as late as 11 pm. Had great workouts with each. :)
