We bought about9 lbs of this whiteing last night and man i have to say it was the best tasting fich i have ever had! we also grabbed fish called "tapia" anyone know what tapia fish is and if it tastes good?

also grabbed some salmon filets, man they are so much more expensive

I think you mean tilapia boss. Tilapia is a fairly mild fish.
You need to season it well.
Salmon is the best though for all its benefits.

yeah ur prolly right, how about the whiteing though u ever try this? we have 3 kinds in case i wasnt clear, (whiting....very tasty) (Tilapia....havent tryed yet) and ofcourse salmon steaks/flites yummy!

you know what i do like and havnet had in ages.....Flounder. I love the taste of flounder

on another note, they were selling catfish filets at the store, that just sounds gross, anyone like catfich?

I love tilapia. My wife and I have it fresh when we're down in Brazil. Whiting is really good, too.

I gotta tell you press, I oklahoma catfish is king. We don't get many ocean fish and if you fry them right they taste awesome...of course with enough fat and seasoning almost anything will taste good. I have to say though, when I go to the ocean I am partial to swordfish.

catfish and hushpuppies down south is big, I've had it many times Cajun style is awesome. I eat Tilapia all the time, we go to Omaha steaks a lot to get our beef and they have tortilla encrusted tilapia filets that are awesome. Just throw them in the oven for 20 -30 minutes and it's like you're in a resturaunt. we eat a lot of fish, personally I try and have it at least 3 or 4 days a week not counting all the tuna and sushi I eat for lunch!

salt water seabass is awesome. Its the most tender, non-fishy tasting fish ive ever had. It has a real sweet like taste to it! Try it

I'm all about frozen fish and a foreman grill. New Zealand Hoki and Orange Roughy are my favorite fish, but I eat a lot of Tilapia and Salmon.

Talipia's good - never heard of the whiteing. Halibut's a good clean white fish and
gotta love the good grade tuna sliced thick.

Not a big fan of fish, but King Crab, Snow Crab and Lobster in butter is one of my favorites!! Damn, Im craving it now!!

damn you b2s! Im starving now. lobster is the best!

smoked whiting is top notch. I just bought a bunch of tilapia on sale.2.99lb.,but like MMX2 said, you have to season it up a bit.

Whiting is pretty hotgear id say, just as good as any fish except not as oily as some! Probably the most common fish here in the highlands so eat it all the time!!
