Alright so I have been having possibly chronic at this point back issues continually (5months)
I already went to a D.O. and already have a script from my DR as well as an appt w a neurologist next month
I have been taking meds that no longer really do anything for the pain.
I am still working out (lighter weight) and stretching, as I found inactivity to make it much worse.

I know most ppl into lifting have these issues and were wondering if anyone has found a way of dealing with this.

Please leave me some feedback, even if its in a PM if its somethig you dont want to broadcast

Thanks fellas

I think a lot of us are suffering the same thing but don't have it solved either. We're all waiting for someone else to chime in, lol!

The Dude bought an inversion table, and I remember him saying it had helped him. I was going to try that myself when I could afford one. That and going to the chiropractor.

I'd get a massage. I'd try stretching and more core exercises. About six months ago my lower back was bothering me, I told the massage theropist to concentrate on it and about 5 minutes into the massage she told me exactly why my back was bothering me. She said my back muscles were way stronger than my abs. She said to train my abs more and after about a week of killing abs everyday my back problems went away.

Also may want to see a chiropractor and get adjusted.

is it neuropathic pain? they will try gabapentin or lyrica probably.
is the pain burning, stinging, cold?

It was ruled out as severe facet agitation (facets of the spine)

I always forget to look into the inversion table, in fact one of my buddies had great success with that (cragslist here I come)

And abs is a great point that I forgot about as well, I have not been focusing on abs at all this whole last year.

I do stretch a lot though and I am pretty flexible, my only way to say to you would be I can do a headkick about 4 inches higher than I am tall and I can put my fingers flat on the ground in front of me if I stretch downward while legs are straight, almost able to put palms on the ground, but not there yet.

Thanks fellas
