So I tried DC the way all the programs tell you to, one chest , one bicep, one calf, one shoulder work out in one day but I didnt feel fullfilled when I left the gym at all! So I modified it , Im doing it like I normally would work out, all chest one day all arms one day and so on. I feel very good when I am done with it. Has anyone else tried it that way?

naww i just started my second day was yesterday. I personally love it already. Now that im doing it to a T i think it will work great. If your truly pushing yourself to failur on every set i dont think you need any more. Plus in 2 days you hit the same bodypart. Progressively getting higher on strength and with more weight comes more mass :) cant wait for tomorrow today is my off day.

I did it awhile back to get over my plateau and yeah it worked.. The main thing I found that would cause someone to not see gains or see any improvement on strength would be improper diet or not pushing out those last reps out. I performed rest pauses on everything which helped tremendously

ur not going to get the same kind of feeling as a 16 working set work out. thats the whole point so you can recover quicker to hit the muscle again in just a few days. and i am doing well with the program also. i am not saying i will do it for ever, but its a change ur body isnt used to so that will = gains.

agreed. The way dante and everybody speaks of it though if i get the gains they say i will i might run it for the rest of my life lmao.

good deal bro good luck man i already like it. By the time i get out of there after hitting that many muscles that hard even at one set im damn near feeling like puking.

my first leg day with dc blew chunks. squat for 20 reps. i figure if you aint feeln nothn then you arnt pushing enough weight, and if the stretches aint getn you then you need to re read them because you arnt doing them right.

bro it is real easy do eight as hevy as you can hang it up or put it down take fifteen deep breaths then pick it up or unrack it again do four more reps. put down or rack it then fifteen more breahts and then i try to get 3 more or failure.

not sure thats quite it...

I am pretty much doing a normal workout, chest all in one session but doing the deep streatching before and 15 real deep breaths between sets. I am doing three sets of each exercise like flat bench, I put on 225 and do 10 or so to failure 15 deep breaths then 5 or 6 to failure then 15 breaths then 1 or 2 to failure. But then I go to incline for 3 sets of the same then to decline ect. I am not adding weight, I put on as much as I can do for each exercise and still get around 10 or so on the first set. I feel a good burn and I get a hell of a pump for me anyways. Any opinions on this?

my opinions are read a little more into DC if you want to give it a try, ive shared some good reads and some good info with some guys on here, maybe someone will direct you to it. but there is some stuff here on MC, you can start by reading some of that and also an old journal i have posted....

but what you have described has nothing to do with DC training...

DC is designed to work as a program, hence you gotta follow all of it.
any "deviations" should be minimal.

The only way I deviate is on the deadlifts/rack deadlifts. I usually dont do the 2nd working set because of back problems and severe pump and pain. Im working around an involuntary problem.
I wouldnt deviate from the program unless you really have no choice.

DB, hows the 3 way split?

the 3 way split is designed to let you do some more work for lagging bodyparts, but you dont get as many workouts in a year as if you did the 2 way. it is recommended that you folllow the 2 way until your worksets get so heavy, you need multiple warmups and your workouts become too long. but it is executed the same way, but here is the split.....

A- biceps, forearms, back W, back T
B- chest, shoulders, triceps
C- calves, hams, quads

so it looks like this...
mon tues thurs fri
a1 b1 c1 a2
b2 c2 a3 b3
c3 a1 b1 c1
a2 b2 c2 a3
b3 c3 a1 b2

haha yeah reading it to understand sucks thats why i im glad i got the videa makes it so much easier.

Some of the gains Dante spoke about are ASStronomical!! If I can get half the gains he talks about it WILL be kick ass! The theory does make sense. I think I might look for a video on it.

Bro., I couldn't get over the 1 set thing either. Especially for arms. How
the hell could my arms grow with the one set when they were used to so
much more?? I finally tried it the right way (after a few lectures from
DB006) and I made progress on ALL body parts. I been lifting for YEARS
and even a little progress is appreciated. It worked. If you can get
yourself to give it a go strict I think you will be suprised. Let us know.
