How many buy your meat by thred bulk.. With the price of beef going to go though the roof. I can get about 200lbs of beef for around 500 dollars.. It seems line alot of money but in the long run i will save..

Now where am I gonna store a full side a beef in a one bed apt? That's a great idea if I lived in Alaska and can just hang it outside to stay frozen .. But I wish I could buy one. Where I live is black angus territory and that shits good..

You gonna get an answer about bulk ground turkey I just know it..

Well i bet you could store fULL side of turkey in a one bed apt. And you wouldn't need to hang it out of the window. Lol

Got plenty of ranchers in the area that have been selling off underweight livestock due to the drought. Average out about $2 a pound. Even less if you process it yourself. Since I live in an apartment as well, I'll have to borrow a buddys garage, have a BBQ...
Might try to get another lamb this fall and/or go in on a farm raised bison. There's a lot of game in the area as well such as antelope, deer, elk, pheasant and moose so that helps a lot on the budget.
An upright or chest freezer doesn't take up a whole lot of room. Check out an appliance store an see if they carry warranteed refurbished freezers. New ones can get spendy so its worth shopping around and remember to make sure to plug it in an outlet that doesn't have too much of a load going through it already.

We did that one year and we couldn't handle all of the meat, or freezer was spilling over. We couldn't fit our normal items we keep in our chest freezer in the garage and what we bought. I would love to buy more but I have no room.

I've done it in the past, it was worth it, but I had a hard time eating beef after it was all gone.

We used to do it, but not to that extent. We were only able to get good deals on chicken though and I'm a terrible cook, so chicken got old fast

I've been choken my chicken for years and it's yet to be a pound.. And you are correct I'd like to hang my girl out the window sometimes by her pierced gobbler sometimes to quiet her down.

The topper is it wasn't deer season..and no I didn't turn them in or I'd not be typing this and would be buried in the woods I think..I wish I had a camera..
