As far as science can tell, there is no correlation between aspartame and any particular disease. Furthermore the sheer number of disorders blamed on aspartame is reason enough to be skeptical - in general toxins have very specific effects. Yet we know there have to be some kind of effects. Nothing man-made like aspartame is going to be perfectly safe for everyone. There really are some people who react to it, thus the warning about phenylketonurics on labels.
