Possibly looking into transitioning into this as I love houses & properties as much as I love cars. I look them up al the time, & after 15.5 years in healthcare I do believe I can not continue to move patients at the rate they are continually gaining weight.

Any suggestions or info?

I got my real estate license many years ago , but think it’s different state to state. I say this because the test they give is two parts, state and federal. In New Jersey you have to pass both parts of the test at same time. Meaning if I pass state and fail federal. I have to reschedule testing and need to take both parts again , not just the part you failed.

so they dont just give licenses away , like I thought back then lol

i worked for Century 21 and I fucking hated it! After everything was said and done I found out it wasn’t for me! So I let my license expire as u must renew it yearly.

thats all I know brutha!

Thanks for the reply man. Here they have a pre and post, they give you so many days w the prelicensinc test before you have to pass the post. My Buddy sold 32 houses last year. His Parents have a real estate company, so I have no idea what percentage they take out of the 6% you make or 3% if its between you and another real estate agent. I am just looking into options, as I cannot lift people every day. Last week the last patient I had when he was laying on his back was at least 24" from his spine to his belly button. People are really getting way bigger than they used to be, a lot of people. I wish there were options for me to transition into something else with my degree (like a 1 year transition) but although rumors have flown around, nothing has passed. Like they want to make an RN a 1 year transition, and that is a job where you can find a lot of avenues where you don't actually have patient contact. Sadly I would have to take the same amount of schooling as an 18 year old know nothing, although I have been in healthcare for 15.5 years as an EMT 11+ years as a Radiographer and 2 years as a Lithotripter.

That’s sucks for sure! But an RN is never unemployed! I know ur not unemployed and just looking for change. Have you considered starting a business? I know you were tossing idea around a while back , so just asking.

Always trying to think of good business ideas. Last time I spoke about it on here it seems like every other place has either way cheaper rent on space, or way higher income, so ppl can afford higher rates. Here it seems like gyms, carwashes, ice machines, landscaping, pressure washing, etc are all either huge corporation driven and unable to compete, or underbid to death (plus I am not trying to bust my back out w physical labor anymore)

Yeah Online business and store is the way to go for sure

ill pm you as I do have something in the works

My old man is a broker. He was a realtor for all the major companies. Then one day he decided he wanted to be the broker 20 years later he's still at it. Now he has realtors working for him. There's good money, but you do have to bust ass. It's all about the contacts you meet.
