For you guys out there that are interested in your diet and what it does in your body and why, this is a good read. Have any of you read this book? I am curious to know what you guys think about the 45/35/20 ratio that the author talks about. He does a good job of backing his ratios with science and what it does in your body. Have any of you tried these ratios before? 45% carbs 35% proteins and 20% fats. What ratios do you guys go by? No matter what I think we can all agree that it is extremely important to be eating to keep our bodies in the most anabolic state as possible for the biggest amount of growth to occur. If your diet is bad you are wasting your time with your workouts, supplements, and gear in my opinion.

Yep read the whole thing. My take is that it is outstanding for a beginner, but that those exact ratios won't work for everyone. Take me for example. I'm pretty carb sensitive (or I used to be - changed that with aas, igf, supplements, cardio, and added muscle in general) so if I ate that many carbs I might get fat. Additionally, goals change so 45-35-20 might not be best for cutting or a huge bulk ect. But overall, its a good reference for dieting in general IMO. Might flip through it again tonight for fun. And I think I picked it up on amazon for like $3 or something ridiculous like that. And one warning, I wouldn't trust the advise on eating lots of shakes since the author is the ceo of MHP and obviously pushing his products.
