I am going to be runnign my cutting cycle and have lots and lots of metformin 850mg on hand.

Wanted to know if it would help me while runnig AAS/t3/clen/Thermorexin. I planned on using it to induce ketosis during no carb diet and while carbing up.

I would like here your thoughts on my plan.

I am going to run clen 1 week on 1 week off with thermorexin while off clen.

I will also be ramping up to 100mcg of t3 for 6 weeks.

Would metformin(glucophage ) be a good addition? at 850mg 2x daily after meals sound right?

This is part of "extreme ketosis" by Grendel, it's in the edge section.

For those of you unsure about using injectable insulin, oral insulin agonists are another excellent choice to get into ketosis quickly. Metformin Hydrochloride (trade name Glucophage) is the preferred drug. Oral Metformin hydrochloride belongs to a class of antidiabetic agents called biguanides. It is used to treat type-2 diabetes (previously known as non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus). Metformin lowers blood glucose levels by decreasing glucose production by the liver and increasing tissue responsiveness to insulin. Phenformin can also be used and is technically a more potent drug. For our purposes Metformin is ideal. In addition to dropping your blood sugar into a level that will start ketosis, Metformin has other ancillary benefits. By controlling insulin levels, it limits hunger. Additionally, Metformin increases insulin sensitivity, which is good considering that most people are insulin insensitive. This insulin insensitivity causes their bodies to over-produce insulin, which causes weight gain and can eventually lead into a host of health problems. That makes the use of Metformin all the more potent a dieting resource; dosages of 2000 to 3000 mg per day taken in divided dosages with each meal are sufficient to rapidly induce ketosis. Oral insulin antagonists should be used until ketosis is reached, but may be continued to assist with controlling hunger and keeping insulin sensitivity high. For those people unwilling or unable to obtain Metformin, vanadyl sulfate may be used in its place. Vanadyl sulfate, along with chromium, serve as weaker forms of insulin antagonists. They will help in dropping blood sugar and may control hunger pangs, however, as should be expected, they are nowhere near as powerful of glucose disposal agents.

IMO Metformin is one of the most over looked and misunderstood supps in a BBers arsenal today (sorry r-ALA lovers).

Metformin has 3 uses I can think of off the top of my head. 1- Is the way you want to use it in a keto diet. 2- Is to use it while taking slin, IMPORTANT- but not while slin is active (unless you are really tired, coma's aren't all that fun). Metformin will keep those muscle cells sensitized for slin. 3- To use with a non-keto diet to manage natural slin levels.

I'd split up the 850 and take it 4x a day (425x4 instead of 850x2), the half-life is pretty short. Also never take Metformin post workout. Metformin isn't oral insulin. It slows the release of the body's natural insulin. Which you don't want PW.

From a Cy Wilson Article:

Metformin

This drug is my personal favorite. Why? Well, the problem with most other insulin sensitizing drugs is that they don't work selectively to sensitize only muscle tissue. Their increased insulin sensitivity occurs in peripheral tissue, meaning both adipocytes and myocytes. However, metformin works by increasing sensitivity in muscle tissue only.

Unlike sulfonylureas, it doesn't cause an increase in fat. In terms of dropping body fat and maintaining insulin sensitivity while using insulin, this is the superior drug. Dosages range between 500-2500 mg per day with meals. They typically come in 500 and 850 mg tabs.

OK, so I should take it with meal and not after a work out.

I assume it is safe to take through my whole cycle? With a keto diet, ,I plan to do no carbs except carb up on saturday each week, and will be taking it for about six weeks straight. Sound right?
