humm dont know bout those bro i just use micellar casein its really slow timed release and i use isolate when pre post workout shakes and such.

I wonder how much Jay Cutler is paid to drink Muscle Tech? My experience with night time protein all it does is empty your pocket book. I didn't see any difference at all.
I have read the best night time protein is to eat cottage cheese right before bed, i'm still trying to find that artical.

yeah cottage cheese is great but i cant eat it its the grosest thing to me in the world just about. I used to put it in a blender and just drink the shit but i cant even do that anymore makes me wanna puke.

Night time protein formulas are a marketing scam by supp companies to promote cheap protein blends.

The fastest protein powder is WPI, and that takes over 2 hours to be adbsorbed. So you don't actually need anything slower during the day since you are supposed to eat every 2 hours anyway. Anything slower absorbing will just clog up your digestive tract.

Regarding night time, the body rests adn recovers when it's asleep. That's when you grwo. The body cannot do that if it is digesting food (protein powder or anything else). You shouldn't be eating anything before bed. The body uses the stored nutrients to grow muscle.

Now I always interject my Jay Cutler comments because I’m a sarcastic asshole but this time I’m serious:
The man claims (when bulking) to wake up twice a night to put down a meal. He says he goes to sleep at 9, wakes at 11, wakes again at 1-2, and then starts it all over again when he wakes up at 5. Perhaps weighing 300lbs changes one’s food-intake requirements? Or you think that’s bullshit…

Scientifically, that is incorrect. But that doesn't mean he doesn't do it.
And talk about wrecking your REM sleep!

thats what I was thinking.

I see his point, constantly eating every 2-3 hours even when sleeping. I have a midnight shake too, but I started doing that because I didn't want to cram more calories into any of my "daytime" meals. I was maxing out what I could cram in one sitting. That shake is my lowest calorie meal of the day though.
