This shit taste so damn good, and it makes oatmeal a hell of a lot more enjoyable.
- Take 1 cup old fashion oats and pour it in a tupperware.
- Shake up a protein shake with 8oz. of water
- Pour the shake in the oatmeal
- Pop that bitch in the microwave for 2:30
- Give it a few minutes, then cover it and put it in the fridge for the next day.

Here's a few notes. I found that Dymatize 12 Hour Chocolate protein works the best. It ends up with the best consistency and taste. Any Chocolate Mint pretty much taste good too. I've tried Banana and that worked out good too. However, I have tried other shakes that fucked it up. So experiment a bit. When you're ready to eat it, it should be solid enough to cut with a spoon to separate into easily measurable servings. I'm telling you guys, give this shit a try, it's good shit!

dosent the protein start to break down? I remember reading that after you mix
your protein w/liquid it starts to break down after a couple of hours. Mabey the
refrigeration slows/stops it??

Yeah, I thought of that too, but figured it would still be an easier way to choke down oatmeal. If I get any protein out of it, it'll just be an added benefit.

Are they like cookies? Are they hard once you get them out of the refrigerator? Sounds like they might be pretty good depending on the protein mix. I can think of some other ingredients that might be good with it. Vanilla protein with oatmeal, raisins, and a dash of cinnamon. Sugar free / low fat or fat free chocolate chips, oatmeal, and chocolate protein powder. The only thing I would worry about is making sure they stick together and don't fall apart.

Nah, they don't come out that solid, just enough to stay put while you eat your portion. You could mess with the measurements and ingredients to make it solid though. I just like eating mine like pudding.

cool

I don't have problems eating oatmeal though. If you are another good thing to do is get an electric hand blender and turn that shit to sand, easy to slam down that way.

Protein from whey will generally start to degrade at or just before 212 degrees f. It is recommended to cook the oatmeal first, then mix in the protein after it has cooled a little bit. If not you're better off using sugar free hot cocoa as a flavor additive because you're just wasting good protein powder.

As far as reconstituted shelf life, it is normally 12-14 hours before it tastes bad.

Damn, that's shitty. I tried mixing it in after the oatmeal was cooked, but it just didn't work out the same. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

i personal hate the taste of plain oats.

usually when i eat my oast in the morn, i bring wate to a boil, add to oast, wait for the oast to suck up all the water, then add frozen fruit.

this helps kewl the oast and defrost the fruit. rasberries are the way to go, their sweet and giv it a nice color

Hey guys, have you tried the flavored oat meal sachets?, we get them in Aus, like apple and honey, date and cinnimon, etc etc. They are REALLY good, I hated oats growing up, couldnt do it. Now I get these packs, and add high protein oats to the mix to bulk it up a bit or just have two packs together. I actually look forward to it each morning.

i usually just add my oats to my morning shake using some vanilla rice milk and chocalte protein powder blend that shiznit and drink it up, kinda has a sand consistancy but i just drink it up, shit i am irish, i have drank spilled beer out of ashtrays LOL
