Ok well im trying to train for basketball , football , and boxing. Just wondering since I can do over 50 pushups that is considered as light and 15 handstand pushups is considered light to right? So cant I do those every monday , wednesday , and friday? Because light weight exercises helps with muscle recovery and is a good warmup so would that be OK? But the main reason for me asking this is that pushups and handstand pushups develope speed , and explosive power. Since im trying to train for football , and boxing that would be nice so is this alright?
 
Variety, pushups are good for warmups but 50 is too much to warm up. If you want to do more pushups try piramids. Hit the weights too. To train to box you have to do more than pushups. Flys are what boxers do most. Thats the power in a cross. Try uneven pushups, dips, get some dumbells and look up some workout movements. Cardio too, swimming is the best all around cardio. Try pushups on a ball-thats serious for warming up. Add resistance, you need speed, power and agility.
 
I know all that just wondering if it would be alright for me to do them every monday , wednesday , friday?
 
Once a week too. Don't over work the muscle....you will over train
It's hard to understand when just starting out but less is MORE.MM
